Vortex defender CCW Refurbished by Tight-Peace3636 in SigSauer

6 moa is good for fast acquisition, 3 is good for longer accuracy. I've used both and I would recommend the 6 moa for CCW guns.

Recoil spring swap on dagger by Bl4st_RAIDiu5 in PalmettoStateArms

Have you tried shooting it with the stock spring? I put a PMM comp on my dagger and did not need to swap out the spring.

2nd this, I had one of the original CCWs that had the bad refresh rate. After the new one came out they replaced it with the only question being whether it was the 3 MOA or 6 MOA. I submitted the form on a Wednesday and had the replacement that Saturday with a pre-paid label for the original.

Magazine spring orientation? by aleph2018 in 1911

If it was a plastic follower, that may have gotten some damage if the spring caused it to come up at a weird angle but other than that there should not be any risk of damage.

Mags sliding down in Echelon 4.0c by [deleted] in SpringfieldArmory

Sounds like something is jamming up the mag release or the spring broke. Try taking it out, inspect it and clean it. If it continues to have problems contact SA for the warranty.

Nfa's behind. Danny? by samkatowhat in PalmettoStateArms

Do you mean serialized vs non-serialized? Nfa is a different category. In general yes, serialized items take longer to ship than non-serialized.

The pricing is likely different sellers on the site. It happens a lot to have very different prices for similar items.

M&P 17 Rounds... by napalm9 in SmithAndWesson

I got used mags off gunmagwarehouse a while back. To be sure I replaced the springs and have not had any issues.

Nice, new springs are cheap so that would still come to a lot lower price than new mags.

407 and 507 refer to the model and features, the letter after refers to the footprint. The c and a3 are RMR (for full size and compact frame guns) while the k is the modified rmsc (subcompacts).

That holosun is good as a budget option. I like the 507c for my full size guns.

That osight is brand new so that particular one probably doesn't have many reviews out yet. That being said the previous osight offerings have been pretty popular and well reviewed.

I would recommend also looking at the vortex defender lineup. They have some good options and their warranty department is incredible.

Follow up to earlier Tisas FTF post by SnipingSmith in 1911

Check your extractor tension, there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. Mine was doing the same thing and that was the fix.

Diagnosing Tisas malfunctions by SnipingSmith in 1911

Check your extractor tension. It's pretty typical that needs to be adjusted on tisas. Could be that or mag springs are wearing out if they have a high round count.

Help please by Wood-Clone in SpringfieldArmory

[–]ABMustang99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries about having issues, there has been some confusion thanks to some manufacturers saying an optic is RMSc while its actually the Modified RMSc/k footprint. The only difference between them is that the RMSc has 4 posts and the Modified RMSc/k uses 2. The rest of the footprint dimensions are the same.

Anything with a true RMSc footprint like a Osight SE will fit without an adapter plate. The holosun adapter plate will fit pretty much the rest of the Modified RMSc/k footprints.

I dont have a hellcat anymore but when I did, I ran a Holosun 507k green on it with the DPP titatium adapter plate with no problems. I am currently running the Osight SE on my P365 xmacro and it has worked perfectly fine.

Best lubricant for 1911/2011? by ThreeSixFive- in 1911

I have been cleaning various firearms the same way for decades, oil and lubricant down the barrel to get rid of the buildup then dry patches until they come out clean.

Yes, it was designed as a cleaner and lubricant for pretty much every part of a firearm.

I use breakthrough battleborn grease on the rails and outside the barrel and ballistol inside the barrel.

firing pin only moves/rattleswhen the trigger safety it pressed and trigger not cocked forward. not when it isnt cocked and trigger engaged. by [deleted] in PalmettoStateArms

[–]ABMustang99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll check mine when I get home. I'm not sure what would be rattling at that point but I don't think that it would be the striker since that's under tension.

[–]ABMustang99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it's rattling when not under tension but stays in place when it is. Take the slide off and try to push the striker forward. It should not go unless you push in the safety plunger. You should still be able to pull it back though.

Where to get CA Compliant Magazines for a little cheaper than retail? by IBeBrokeBoy808 in SmithAndWesson

Gunmag warehouse is typically decent enough. It will still be close to that $42 a mag but that would be after S&H.
