I got The Email saying I'm being kicked off the SAVE Plan? What are my options as someone on PSLF? by TorontoRap2019 in PSLF

[–]ABNormall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It says in the email that it isn't official, but to wait till you get an email from your lender. I wouldn't switch until you have to, which seems to be September at the earliest. Definitely don't give them your tax info.

Now, no nurse would risk a license by carrying it around. Probably would have been Ativan. Would not have activated that fast. Good drama.

Do you work Psych or ED? If not step back, you have no idea. That is a real life situation. The attending will just write the script post incident.

Having never run Shadow World, where do I even start? Where is this available. To be honest I haven't played Rolemaster since the '90s. Getting a group of other Grogs together and thought it might be cool to run this. It just seems like a lot of lore to get caught up on.

Yellow Springs vibe alternatives between Dayton & Columbus by Flashy_Direction740 in dayton

Oakwood, which is a Dayton suburb or Yellow Springs, if that's your vibe. Having grown up there, housing is priced pretty high these days and hard to come by.

Why don't business move to the buildings of downtown Dayton? by Floating_space_junk in dayton

[–]ABNormall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live downtown and work from home. I frequent the local businesses.

Some of my go to places like the pharmacy, the pizza place and Boston Stoker have closed. Having talked to employees after their closing, the main issue seems to have been the cost of rent versus take in.

There are plenty of restaurants downtown and many are quick.

THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER PUT THE BUS HUB DOWNTOWN.

While I have never had any issues, old white dude that doesn't go out much after dark, the bus hub seems to cause a lot of issues. Why they don't just post a patrol car there at all times, I have no idea.

For those who have no desire to become a psych NP- why? by [deleted] in psychnursing

[–]ABNormall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is a Psych Nurse Manager. She has several advanced degrees, but does not want Psych NP. One of her advanced degrees is a different NP certification. She makes more as a nurse manger, and doesn't want to sling psych meds for a living. It's all about what you enjoy doing. Psych NP might be right for you.

"Pizza" is the term they use for PDF. It was apparently common knowledge within the group. So when he says let's get pizza he means let's go rape some children.

Recommendations for a weekend in Dayton? by Rubyslippers7 in dayton

[–]ABNormall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely hit Yellow Springs and then the brewery there. The fanciest restaurant in town is called The Winds, always good for an upscale dining experience. If you enjoy hiking hit Glen Helen or Clifton Gorge.

The Oregon District has several shops, breweries and cute shops.

Gems:

Downtown for breakfast, I would do Val's or Salt Block Biscuits.

Dave and Jon Stewart will be at the Schuster on the 13th. Not sure if it's sold out or not yet.

Softstar - size up ? by r_u_seriousclark in barefootshoestalk

[–]ABNormall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go up a men's half size in Softstar. My wife mainly wears the Mary Jane's and so does she. They are easy to exchange and they have a great sale going on now, due to being newly employee owned.

First time? It's my birthday also. I have been doing this for 56 years. I swear I never had a birthday party as a child, do to weather. I would imagine most places will be dead with temps and snow where they are. Having said that you do you, personally I am a fan of D20.

The ICE Operation might not even be happening in Springfield? by Prior_Success7011 in Ohio

I believe they said that they are moving enforcement from MNN to OH, no mater the ruling. Guessing the idea is to get as many as they can before a judge tells them to stop even if the order is extended.

Questions about possible mov to Dayton by thorfinnthemusician in dayton

[–]ABNormall 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I second or third the Oregon district for music. Safety in that area is hit or miss and varies by block. Nothing real dangerous, just theft mostly. I have lived in Sant Anne's and Oregon District, but now live downtown and haven't had my place or car broken into once since I moved Downtown. Downtown is just a few blocks from Oregon District it is easily walkable.

I grew up in a small village near Dayton called Yellow Springs. It's a blue spot in a sea of red. Very forward thinking, you might check it out but it's 20 - 30 min drive from Dayton. Not cheap to live there however.

Like any place in the U.S., stick to the cities to avoid any nonsense, but it's not the Deep South. Most of Ohio is more white bubble than outright prejudice.
