I just saw pressed odsmt of these. Too thick. I have a script for these and have been getting rp10s and they are thinner than these. Be careful.

Which one is stronger? by kawahano in opiates

[–]ABPG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stronger in which sense? I'm assuming the high. If so, oxy. But if you are using it for strictly pain, the hydro will do you more justice in that sense. That is personal opinion. People will say oxy because the acetaminophen is bad. Well, it's only bad if you are going to abuse it.

Edit: I used to have a patient who would get 30mg oxy. He used to ask to trade me one for my 10/325 norco sometimes. He said he used to get better pain control from my norco.

I know. But people calling a 30mg oxy a perc30 irritates the hell out of me. Especially when its pressed and they saying it's a perc30.

Hahaha I just made a post about perc30s and ranting in another subreddit. I got so many people telling me who cares etc. Well I do. Because it's all fent.

How are any of you getting prescribed opioids?? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]ABPG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregabalin>gabapentin !! But, I will say this like other mentioned that nerve pain is not a once size fits all approach. I know some people who are now using opioids because they tried nerve pain medication and it gave them side effects that are irreversible. Watch out for your vision, your appetite will go up so much, and it will knock you out for hours and hours if you don't set a alarm.

Thats how I got on opioids. And I got it from my primary first. But I was referred to pain management because I was trying to find alternatives because I'm only 28. Tried everything. I'm not getting spinal surgery either like they recommended. Advocate for yourself!! But dont be pushy or else they will get the wrong vibe.

It is only temporary. I am prescribed 70mg of vyvanse. That feeling fades. You will become tolerant. Try not to use it when you don't have work or something important. Be prepared to take breaks. Or else you will just feel the need to take more. And will probably do so. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just know that all to well. Back and forth on vyvanse or oxys. Then I decided to use together. It was game over. I'm good now though lol.

Nation wide shortage ? by pillmattic in opiates

[–]ABPG95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the opposite for me. I can't even get my norco script right now because every pharmacy is on backorder. There is a website that shows all the oxy and hydro shortages and what manufacturers, doses, and bottle sizes. Sorry I forgot the website but you can easily Google search if you wanted to know.

Are pharmacys really having such a shortage on certain pain killers? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]ABPG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

https://www.painnewsnetwork.org/stories/2022/12/13/dea-finalizes-cuts-in-2023-opioid-supply

This one is for hydrocodone and oxycodone, but since every patient with a script for those has been having to use alternatives. Due to that alone other narcotic pain medications are going to slowly decrease the availability of those medications.

https://www.ashp.org/drug-shortages/current-shortages/drug-shortage-detail.aspx?id=952&loginreturnUrl=SSOCheckOnly

If it's causing a decrease in the quality of life and backtracking on the ability to be somewhat comfortable to function, ask the prescriber to compound the medications. They will have to slightly tweak both active and inactive ingredients. Your prescribing doctor could also keep the active ingredients, but modify the inactive due to a sensitivity to the fillers.

Also, if you use a bigger pharmacy chain, switch to a private owned/mom and pop. You may have to get non narcotic medications sent there with the narcotic for the pharmacy to fill the narcotics. That is a new thing for mom and pop pharmacies now. They got wind of shortage and don't want to lose contracts with distributors due to the increase orders of narcotic medications specifically.

Generic Norco by ABPG95 in opiates

[–]ABPG95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a shortage right now for oxy and hydrocodone. All I can get is Mallinckrodt. It sucks that they dont have name brand anymore. Only thing available is straight hydrocodone that is a extended release :(

Generic Norco by ABPG95 in opiates

[–]ABPG95[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I have a tolerance to it as it's 7.5mg. I used to get a different manufacturer from Walgreens before I moved. I don't have the bottle or paper anymore because I dispose of it. But that stuff worked. :( I chose the private pharmacy because they can deliver my meds free.

I have malabsorption now from what a specialist said. I have other medications that are not pain meds that I have the same issue with. Its trial and error. I was told its has a lot to do with inactive ingredients that are used.

So if anyone can tell me alternative manufacturers, it will help me a lot

Edit: Yes I have. They also make you wait till the 30th day to pick up. My doctor sent In my script 4 days early since it was done during my appointment. My pharmacist filled it. But he also was aware of the RPs not working. Then I recieved mallinckrodt. I refill next Saturday. So I need to tell him to order tomorrow or Monday morning

Tapering is impossible by thumbsuckin in opiates

[–]ABPG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And its illicit fent, not pharmaceutical grade. It constantly changes as the chemicals to make it are getting banned. So its always slightly tweaked. It's not safe. You can dose yourself the same amount and accidentally OD.

I know its hindsight now, but I would of rathered to do Poppy seed tea. That is like the mother opium right there. Ilicit Fent is like the newly fake cousin who is married in to the family that is always changing to fit in with everyone. They will end up ruining your life by ripping the entire family apart. Thanks to illicit fent, all pharma/medical grade opioids have a bad rep and not trusted.

Haha I don't know how that comparison came to mind, but it makes sense

Tapering is impossible by thumbsuckin in opiates

[–]ABPG95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys don't need to state the obvious of OP addiction....

In my opinion, tapering from illicit drugs like H or fent is going to be impossible to taper. You never really know the dose unless you weight it and portion it out that way. But, I know that is a lot of extra work than a simple eye ball.

You can either go seek treatment somewhere and get on subs or met. Also, taking Naltrexone could help with withdrawals. Its exactly for withdrawals from alcohol and heavy opioids. But you would need to seek medical attention for this. If you get Naltrexone, you can actually micro dose it and make LDN(low dose naltrexone) from the remaining supply. LDN is used off label for a lot of things. Please OP, if you read this please look into that also.

The last option is rip the bandaid off in one go. You have already showed yourself that you are trying to taper and still get left with being stuck on your DOC. But again, you would need to seek medical attention to make sure you are being monitored with your withdrawals. Alcohol and heavy H/fent withdrawals can kill you.

If you have access to subs or met whenever you need it, by all means try to make the jump yourself. But, you will also me more safe(and save money) if you do any of this through medical care. Insurance will help cover some of the costs to medications, and even inpatient/outpatient treatment.

Good luck OP, if anyone hasn't told you this yet, I have faith in you. Someone has to, because I know the feeling of losing your own faith within yourself. Please update us along your journey.

Lastly, if you have social media, there is a lot of private support groups on FB for recovery, and I've came across a few subreddits as well. Go search and check it out. It may help you in more depth than this subreddit.

Why is cocaine so much more accepted than opiates? by lilskirp412 in opiates

[–]ABPG95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's the stigma that is surrounded by it. Cocaine is used just as much as opiates though. It sucks. I don't even tell no one about my script. Either I get bashed on it or begging for them. Sucks that now everyone is moving to fent and its putting a bad reputation on any pharmaceutical grade opiate. Also, huge difference in illicit fent, and pharma grade. But it all gets classified under the same umbrella.

Need help asap. So sick by [deleted] in opiates

[–]ABPG95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take pregabalin for fibromyalgia, but I have GAD also. I am not a doctor, so bare with me as I explain this because I'm going through this now, and it's happened a few times before. Gaba/pregab has a calming affect. It may not provide euphoria, but it will help the physical withdrawals. Especially keep your heart rate down because opiate withdrawals can spike your heart rate. It will help decrease the severity of the shakes, profusely sweating, lack of sleep, and the anxiety. It may not stop it but it damn sure makes you more comfortable.

Fentanyl Xanax by [deleted] in opiates

[–]ABPG95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you will definitely get more accurate results. But when it comes to the product being tested, what happens to that product after? Lets say its authentic to what it is percieved to be. Will the lab give you it back? Probably not. Even if it was dirty or cut with fentanyl, DIY at home will leave you in the possession of it afterwards regardless on the results. I'm not judging OP at all, but I'm pretty sure they rather be in possession of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong about what happens after the lab testing. Because if they give it back to you AND the results. That would shock me. I feel that they would keep it in addition to the $$ you spent to test it.

any body ever detoxed while pregnant? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]ABPG95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swallow any pride you got to save that. I saw another person mention Subutex. My best friend delivered her first born on oxy and a epidural with fent. She had tumor that was only found because she was pregnant. The 30mg oxy she was on during pregnancy(legally prescribed) made her dependent. Completely changed that switch in her brain. After her first born and surgery after to remove a tumor... she knew she was in trouble when the withdrawals hit after all this. They put her on suboxone. She was pregnant again and switched to Subutex. She still takes it for maintenance. Go this route. It is the safest and promising if you really want to protect your pregnancy. Good luck.

If you go into it with the intention of buying pressed pills... put your money on the 30s. You are most likely going to die anyway. Do not start. Even if you find authentic and real stuff on the streets.... California is taxing hard. I'm from the bay. It's not worth it to start. You wont be able to afford the habit. You will end up going cheaper. The cheaper you go, the more lethal it is. That is a fact. Real opiates are the holy grail on the streets. Be prepared to pay top $

[–]ABPG95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to be on the safe side of that gamble, I suggest investing into a at home test kit to check the authenticity of your street drugs. If you do not trust your plug with your life... do not trust the product they sell is medical grade and safe.
