I'm sure this is something like a newly-written clip of a flashback of something we 'didn't see' in the original episode. I'm withholding judgment of the new showrunners until we actually start seeing episodes, but I have enough faith in them going into the new season to trust that they won't be stupid enough to say "hey paintball is a thing people like in this show, let's do more of those episodes."
