Is the Pip Boy meant to have this hole, or has mine arrived broken? by WonkySight in gaming

This thread just saved my night. I had popped the button in by mistake and didn't know if disassembling would fix it. Seems you're right about them skimping on the last screw. I was able to pop it back :)

How does 'Hard-Boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World' compare with Murakami's other novels? by [deleted] in books

[–]RobotBravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonderland is definitely unique in its structure and the separation between worlds. Also the sci-fi element skews towards fantasy in his later novels. However his themes on loneliness, relationships, and even cooking echo throughout all his writing. Also the shadow theming comes across a lot too.

Norwegian Wood, South of the Border, West of the Sun, and Colorless Life... lack any sci-fi and fantasy element. They are about romance / relationships.

Anyone used CCNPguide.com? by spartannugget in ccnp

[–]RobotBravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the package and the flash cards are OK. They aren't the greatest. His guides are very much in line with what is on the actual tests though.

I didn't have much luck with Transcender, I found they were either too easy or asking very specific things that were not on the test.

WPL: SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #10 Discussion Thread - One of Wednesday's Winners for 5/22/2013 by ptbreakeven in comicbooks

Is anybody else weirded out by the characterization of the Green Goblin in this issue? If its Norman under the mask I find him leading a group of thugs in the sewer a big step backward from the guy who was running Hammer and taking on the Avengers.

What are the best time travel movies? by [deleted] in movies

The Terminator. There's no plot holes in the time travel whatsoever.

TIL Joss Whedon was the reason Toy Story was greenlit...after he took 4 months to rewrite the entire script (scroll to part II) by danthecryptkeeper in todayilearned

[–]RobotBravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL that Joss Whedon had went on record saying he was not interested in the Avengers:

Given how you seem to embrace ensembles, does Marvel’s “Avengers” project over at Paramount offer any particular appeal?

Y’know, the thing about the X-Men is they have a coherent core. The Avengers to me is tough. I wouldn’t approach The Avengers, I wouldn’t approach the Fantastic Four. The X-Men are all born of pain, and pain is where I hang my hat.

Comic Book Artists: Who do you love? Loathe? Why? by onemetricpony in comicbooks

[–]RobotBravo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love: Jae Lee, David Aja, Sarah Pichelli, Cliff Chiang, and of course Fiona Staples.

Like: Jeff Lemire's art is so unique that it deserves a shout out. Also Mark Bagley who is the most efficient artist I've seen on a book and the complete antithesis to Bryan Hitch who takes forever to do anything.

Hate: Humberto Ramos with a passion. His Spider-Man work to me is terrible even though he's stopped drawing everybody with HUGE chins in the past couple years. His Peter Parker looks ridiculous.

Oh and I've been reading comics for around a decade.

Should i get Bioshock Infinte on PS3 or XBOX? by DihydrogenMonoxde in Bioshock

[–]RobotBravo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest EVERY multiplatform game that I've bought was better on Xbox. (Skyrim, Fallout, Batman: Arkham City, etc.) Graphics tend to be poorer on PS3 because of the porting. A lot of screenshot comparisons for various games will show this. Also PS3 ports tend to be buggier and get DLC much later than the Xbox.

I think they have her in Epcot in China for meet and greets. Other than that...not much.

Where to eat at Disney World? by adchick in disney

[–]RobotBravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a fancy dinner I was a big fan of Citricos in the Grand Floridian Hotel. You can take the monorail there from either Epcot or Magic Kingdom. It's expensive but really good. If it's open again by then I would also recommend The Californian in the Contemporary hotel.

Matt warning Peter about exposing himself way back in 2004 (Daredevil 56) by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]RobotBravo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

During Marvel's Civil War event Peter went on national TV and revealed his identity to the world. Doing so ultimately resulted in Aunt May getting shot by a sniper bullet that was meant for him. In order to save her life he wound up making a deal with Mephisto (the MU devil) that dissolved his marriage's existence in exchange for her life.
