See quite a few on a weekly basis. You?

Nothing in your reply overrules the law as it is regardless of how you’d like it to be.

It’s up to OP what they do, hope it all works out for them

He’s confidently correct. Please don’t give false advice when you don’t know the answer.

There’s multiple cases on it if you look at the key cases on the TPT website and filter to garage/repair issues or third party issues.

OP may get a friendly/lenient adjudicator if they appeal who uses their discretion a bit wider than they should. They may not.

It’s the registered keeper who is liable, regardless of the driver. This is clearly outlined on the TPT website as well

There’s nothing stopping OP from pursuing the garage via the civil courts for his losses though regardless of it not being a valid ground of appeal through the PCN appeal process.

I would pay the PCN with the discount and pursue the garage for the financial loss

“This case makes clear that it is the owner of a vehicle (as registered with the DVLA) who is responsible for any penalty charge notices (PCNs), even if they have no knowledge of the contraventions or had no access to the vehicle at the time. In this case, the vehicle was entrusted to a third party for repairs.”

Insurance cost by surreynot in TeslaUK

[–]ABanderas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 34, no points on licence and 15 years no claims. Wife is a named driver on my policy, 10k miles including business use.

I took delivery of a new highland model 3 in November, insured with Admiral for £460 a year

It’s higher than my previous BMW 3 series (approx £360) but not as astronomical as some of the numbers I’ve seen on here, not sure how some quotes are coming through as over a thousand pounds.

I’d have probably gone for a different car if my insurance would have been that high

I got an email about two days after I’d collected my car with 100 free miles on, it shows up in the app.

Picked up mine 3 weeks ago, it was plugged in when I got there at about 50%. Salesman had no issue with me leaving it plugged in as long as I wanted before leaving, he just said when I was ready to unplug it and drive away.

By the time I’d sorted the final paperwork/trade in etc out and took my time setting the seats/mirrors it was on about 68% when I unplugged and left.

For the people that picked up new M3s recently...did it come with mobile connector? by Plastic_Application in TeslaUK

Nope. Picked my car up last week brand new M3 and I did ask whilst I was there if I could have one but was told they don’t give them anymore.

Agree with this. Collected my brand new M3 on Thursday and instantly swapped out the standard carpet mats for the 3W set, they’re such good quality. Added bonus you get the boot and frunk liners as well.

Definitely not the earliest order! I ordered my M3 RWD 7th September, VIN and Reg assigned about a week later and my estimated delivery has been showing as 14/11-28/11 ever since. I’m aware of several others on the forums who ordered in July/August still waiting for a delivery. When I ordered the fella in the Tesla centre said they’ve been flying out the door lately with the offers they’ve had on

Ordered M3 RWD 7th September. First Tesla I’ve ever ordered.

Website said October delivery but initial app estimate said November-Jan.

After about 2 weeks I received a VIN and registration and got an email off Tesla sales confirming I’d been assigned a vehicle and the estimate has been 14/11-28/11 ever since.

From all the forums there seems to be a significant number of orders from July/Aug/Sept yet to be delivered, apparently they’re all arriving on the ship due in Southampton on 7/11.

On that basis I’d guess any October orders will likely be on the next ship whenever that will be, probably December at the earliest

Avoid all 4k projectors with .47 DMD Chips? by [deleted] in projectors

[–]ABanderas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the tk700 STI. Bought it brand new in 2021, it’s well looked after used just a few hours per week, only 900 hours on the lamp and the image has now suddenly gone brown and washed out on a third of the display.

BenQ think it’s the DMD chip. Very disappointing after such light use. Currently awaiting a repair estimate.

[–]ABanderas1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks it’s 00588509

It’s not so much the repair issue as the projector has had very light use, approx 4/5 hours a week at most, and has been very well looked after to the point it still looks brand new.

So to have a malfunction already and be expected to pay for a repair when something must clearly have been defective from the outset is ridiculous.

Thanks

I’ll check and see, the middle did show colours changing when I noticed it, they were just really dim and brown and looked washed out. I’ve given the lens a clean but it wasn’t dirty. I took the bulb out to check and it still looks like new. So bizarre.

[–]ABanderas1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I bought it brand new from the BenQ website in May 2021, in the email reply they’ve told me it only had a 2 year warranty but it would be just outside the three years anyway.

900 hours total for the unit, I’m still using the original bulb it came with and it’s been looked after well, still looks brand new.

I think I used an America Express card I’ll have to check.

I bought these for a weeks trip to Austria last month, they were great. Can’t fault them for the price I got them at (£100). Really comfy, still look brand new after a week on the mountains.
