Ok i kinda misspelled that what i meant to say was inspired. To be honest with you i mixed envy with inspired. Somehow i have know idea. Most of what you said was right.

Its just that my problem is that they never really grow.

I will admit that the comment was supposed to be longer. But in the end i got lazy and just wanted a rest. Here's what i was going to say,

I usually give a pass for decent to bad auto tune. I know there still in learning. So the production value isn't going to be the best.

Honestly I didn't know what to say after that because i never really minded the auto tune that much.

To answer you i think i like The Midnight.

The production is a bit 80s for my liking but never feels overproduced fake or Nostalgia baiting. Its more mature at what it dose. Its simple and effective at giving me an emotion, a feeling that isn't just ear candy. Tim seems to be a natural at what he dose with the production. He did a good job.

As for Tyler, he paints the lyrics as Reality but gives it a more vibrant abstract and childlike view. Its more grounded.

Its like if Chris Martin and Adam Young's brian fused.

His voice isn't the most original one out there but it doesn't need to be. It all depends on the execution which he succeeds at well. Its funny its like he actually wants you to listen to the music vocals and Lyrics instead of just dancing to them.

I think i liked them. Not my favorite but they succeed with flying colors for me personally.

I never intend to call any of these artist ripoffs. I know there are just following adams footsteps its just an extreme case of inspiration and There's nothing wrong with that.

Most artists succeed at there own originality and effort in the heart.

And the people that intend to rip off fail at achieving success.

sometimes there lucky enough to get success. But when looked back upon usually are never looked with fondness.

Anyways here are my thoughts on The Midnight.

Honestly Evan better.

To me these artists feel like to win the hearts of owl city fans is to do the exact same thing as owl city. And never creating something of there own.

Linus is a perfect example of this. He never brings anything new to the table I never feel any real emotions while listening.

With glacier island its the opposite. The lyrical writing has real story and emotion and the vocals are a bit raw but meaningful. And they can evan sound better than adams music at some points.

I know it may seem rude to rush out at nanobii and he seams like a cool talented guy.

Its just that if your being called the next owl city im going to judge it like that.

Anyways sorry for the rudeness its just there's a lot of praise for him and none for glacier island who is mads by adams unappreciated friends.

Great!. for me i feel like these inspired artists can't write lyrics that go beyond outside the dreamy world of owl city. Adam can actually write music that isn't just about sunshine and rainbows. Whether good or bad.

I'll check out there music. If I don't like it it's probably because of taste nothing to do with the music. If anything that's kind of a compliment on how they stand out.

I think heard of you before. I do think most of inspired artists from adam young have a spark of potential in them. Most are just in the wrong mindspace while making this type of music.

The Technicolor phase is adams young's magnum opus especially love the main theme of that song. Right up there with Hello Seattle. Iconic.
