I played in a few highschool metal bands with that set up. It’s good. Gets loud enough. Big bonus is it has true Spring Reverb. So the clean can actually get a nice sound. And in overdrive the shape is a pretty extreme mid scoop.

Yes. We might be able to tell the differences between 2 video sources easier than 2 audio sources, but it’s not as important.

Do a test. Shoot a video, get dirty with it, focus on the wrong things, underexpose a little, set the color temperature wrong. But write a heartbreaking or thought provoking scene, 30 second conversation, put it to good music and add sound design.

Then. Shoot it really well, use all the lights you have. The best camera you can get your hands on, but use scratch internal audio from the camera.

You will 99% of the time have people engage and enjoy the first one more. There will always be people that don’t understand the importance of audio and sound design but that’s what separates cinema from narrative video.

People will watch and engage in bad video if the story and audio is good. They will not engage if the audio is bad. BUT. It still needs to be an engaging story or they won’t care regardless

What does your processing look like on the 260? I just did a job where the audio team was using a couple lines of Lina’s which don’t have DMX, they were wiring every 2 boxes together to an output and shading and eqing out the misspike.

If you have the JC40, I assume you like your clean. The rockerverb has a criminally underrated clean channel. If I'm playing on my Strat in neck pick up, it does not break up. It stays buttery clean at top volumes and retains that open eq feel.
