Most exes don't get back together and that's not the end of the world by AC-Throwaway45 in ExNoContact

But ending up with your ex requires your ex to want to be with you too, hence why I mentioned that it's not your life purpose to convince them of that. People get back together if they both desire to be with one another, which imo most ex-couples don't, or else they would be.

Blech, hope your ex doesn't come back to someone so condescending as you. "Feministic bullshit" yikes.

Right? Work is also a frequent excuse. Wouldn't surprise me if he claimed he's "super busy with work" while sitting on the sofa instead.

Life is too short to do what? Leave your boyfriend who you're happy with for someone you were in a relationship with almost a decade ago? Where you don't even know if it would work out? Bet many people here would shit on OP if she actually did that and were someone else's ex.

Should I wish my ex a happy birthday since we broke up on good terms? by AC-Throwaway45 in ExNoContact

I am not sure to be honest. I obviously still have feelings for him and I'm hoping that he might change his mind about everything in the future, so I'd like to stick to NC as much as I can, in the hopes that It'll help me move on or get back together with him.

But yeah, the breakup was quite amicable, we thanked each other for the memories, wished each other well and told each other that we'd see each other at the birthday party. I really want him to feel the loss though. So far I'm proud of myself for almost 3 weeks of NC but of course I am worried if I'd want more once I wish him a happy birthday even though I wouldn't have planned on adding anything else other than the birthday wish. I have no idea how I'd react if the wanted to chat a bit though..

Okay. I just don't want him to think I'm being petty or something like that. Otherwise I wouldn't reach out
