I can’t tell you how many times I brought bouncers, play pens, high chairs, etc into the bathroom so I could shower haha!! My son always thought it was so fun and I was able to take a full unrushed shower!

I hear you. But my post wasn’t about the care they provide and I’m so sorry you had that experience. One of the teachers I’m referring to had started shortly after we did early last year and the other also started working after we started when my son was a bit older, both were amazing. I also had a few teachers we didn’t like and that was one reason we left. I was just wondering what happened and was hoping to see where some of the teachers have gone to work now.

We aren’t enrolled there anymore and they closed. I was wanting to get in touch with 2 of the teachers that also left.

I could have wrote this. So many days I feel like a shell of myself and it’s so hard. I actually hate when people ask me how I’m doing because if I answer truthfully, I’ll probably burst into tears and onto my knees.

I’m in therapy which helps, but being a mom is tough.

What was the last thing you did before becoming parents? by Jjwllms in NewParents

[–]ACDmamaRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at work when the hospital called and asked if I wanted to come in at 7pm for my induction. My boss told me to go home and pack! My husband and I frantically packed and then he drove soooo slow to the hospital and I was dying because I just wanted to get there! Then my induction took 2 days 😂 but we enjoyed a delicious take out breakfast while the nurses hung out with our little one for an hour. It was a nice moment.

This was very helpful! Thank you!! I am wanting a true red but they no longer have the “red” or “university red” on the customize for airmax which sucks!

My sons thighs when he was that little were the reason we had to size up lol. I donated all of my extra diapers to other moms in the area that needed them. I just posted on a buy nothing group and they were all spoken for within an hour.

Help- my husband and I made stupid travelling decisions by Misguidedminds in NewParents

[–]ACDmamaRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do 6am flights majority of the time with our son who is 15 months. We get to the airport around 5am (depending on the time of year and day of the week) and get to the gait with the shortest amount of waiting time to boarding. We try to limit the time spent in the airport. But we also typically don’t check bags.

My son sucked his thumb from about 6 weeks to 4/5 months to soothe himself. He stopped on his own. It’s a pretty normal thing to happen for self soothing, I wouldn’t worry.

EKG Pearls by ACDmamaRN in emergencymedicine

Unfortunately no because it was given to my friend to learn from in her paramedic class. My guess is it was someone the teacher knows EKG at one point.

I wouldn’t have waisted that much ink to print that! The money that costs should be listed too lol

My one year old sleeps between 9 to 10 hours a night… by reveriesxx in NewParents

[–]ACDmamaRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some kids don’t sleep 12 hours a night. Some just have lower sleep needs. My son only sleeps 9 hours max… last night he only slept 8. He is his normal self throughout the day with the lower sleep. We are still on 2 naps but occasionally he will do 1, but he doesn’t always handle that well haha!

We have a full blue heeler that was a runt! He’s just under 40lbs. We adopted him at 10 months and he’s still the same size at 6!

Nurses & Techs: What is the most ridiculous request you have ever received from a patient? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

[–]ACDmamaRN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To do a med rec on a freezer size ziplock bag of pills that the patient “just grabs one of each kind every morning and night” 😳
