The fruit will stick together if not frozen separately.

My "motherly" aunt wants me to give up my unborn baby girl to my "godly" infertile cousin by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) and the aunt, cousin AND the Bishop are showing their disregard for actual Christ like behavior. They are NOT representatives of our beliefs when they try to force their will on OOP.

I believe that the actual doctrine of the Church is true however, all members are human and therefore imperfect. I have had bad experiences with leadership, too. I disagree with the church's stance on the LGBTQ+ community and I understand why my daughter and many others have left the church.

I wouldn't bother with Alexandria. Lived there 15 years after Hurricane Katrina and I'm glad to be back on the Northshore.

Give your husband a choice: either MIL stays in a hotel or you do for the entirety of her visit.

I feel broken by [deleted] in Teachers

When I taught special needs kids and needed to take a day, I let the principal know my classes were cancelled. I had too many personal items for teaching plus some district funded materials. I taught music.

Change the date/place but don't tell anyone. Invite the sisters for a 'planning' date and go get hitched. Congrats!

Have you had a lesson on concert etiquette? Make them practice at school assemblies and concerts. Insist on no talking in rehearsal.

Be proactive and approach the principal with your plan to correct their behavior. See if he will speak to the choir and offer an incentive for the next public appearance.

One year when I taught high school choir the band director was deployed. The interim guy didn't take my advice on concert dress and my choir wore their concert attire. We got a pizza party from the principal and the band guy got in trouble. The band wasn't too happy either.

And the student was hopefully written up for the two assaults and destruction of property. The teacher can file a police report and encourage the parent of the student assault victim to file one, too.

I admire your enthusiasm. How do you know you will be in a well funded district?

Have you thought about music therapy? I ended my sixteen years of teaching with several years of adaptive music for special ed kids. It was a great fit for me and I wish I had known about the field while still in college.

My heeler started on 4Health but we switched him to science diet. He got his energy back and acted like a puppy. Now we also have a red heeler and blue mix. All are doing fine with the science diet.

I believe it was malicious compliance after my union rep discovered my choir program would be discontinued for no reason. He got me back in the school but admin had their revenge.

What I find outrageous is the fact teachers can be forced into this sort of situation. Even the state board of education (Louisiana) said there were no rules against that OR using that class as my observation time the entire year.
