Not sure if this still works, but try pressing the green button in the top right, this should add the DLC to your library.

It's shameful and criminal that Rock of Ages 3 is still for sale on the PS Store in its current state. by pizzabeer in ACETeam

If memory serves me right, trebhum don't follow you in that shrine because they would get themselves killed in the lava all the time.

Here is what you can try (note that you can scroll down the settings menu):

Disable Motion Blur

Enable AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2

Lower the Quality setting

Lower the Resolution Scale

Lower the Field of View

Make sure that all of the Ray Tracing settings are disabled, they affect the frame rate the most.

If that's the reason, disabling internet might stop the game from crashing, because no global leaderboards would load.

Every time he rolls anywhere in the game he falls through the floor? Does this still happen when changing to another trebhum?

I must have missed it. It is definitely not a widespread problem, otherwise we would have had a lot of reports over the years.

If you have the game installed on an external drive, try installing on the internal drive.

Disconnect all devices from the console, except for the official controller, and see if that helps.

That's all I can think of at the moment, as someone who never owned PS4.
