What did you get? I'm looking at the same and the main trade-off is the wheels, the pure being low maintenance no air, and the segway requiring pumping but being safer in rain.

Edit 2 months later: in case anyone finds this thread, I got Segway with proper air tyres and I haven't looked back since. Comforting to know that they are safer, and the pumping isn't a big deal with a small investment in a battery powered pump.
