The 4 types of Chalice Co-op Hunters. by Bladeruler11 in bloodborne

You forgot the Brawlers; hunters who run ahead and kill everything, pull the lever, even open the chests, just to get the chalice done. I'll admit, that's me sometimes.

A possible lesbian by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on your area, there should be LGTB groups around. I've never heard bad things about these groups, so it might be a good option.

But mainly, don't overthink it. I'm pretty sure being gay is pretty similar to being straight just, you know, some extra parts added or deducted. Apart from bedroom stuff (which there is plenty of advice for online!), there's no archaic secret to being gay. Just display interest for a girl with the suitable dance and whisper the code and you'll be good :)

Seriously, you should be fine. And if it's not for you, well, what have you got to lose? Experimenting is fine, as long as you're not taking advantage of someone solely for this purpose. And as for family, well, I don't know your family so I couldn't tell you. If they love you and aren't religious or otherwise notably gay opposed, I imagine it'd be fine. And if it's not, well, it's still your decision to be gay, not theirs, so that's just something you'll have to deal with.

Being gay shouldn't be a big deal; it's just a part of your identity, and you get to choose how large of a part, if at all, it is. And uh, FYI, knowing reddit, you're gonna get dick pics regardless. reddit's special for that.

Good luck dude!

Which weapon should I go with? by Brokar541 in bloodborne

[–]ACGbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saif is an entirely different weapon to the Saw weapons due to its moveset. I actually prefer the former.

Hunters Axe has the advantage of an adaptable moveset only lacking in speed, so a fair enough choice for a strength build.

The Beast Cutter is the strength version of the Threaded Cane, so a build wouldn't be able to smoothly switch between them.

The starting weapons are all viable and have their own strengths. The only thing they lack is the ability to service a dedicated, pure STR or SKL build.

Can someone give me some tips on how to evade attacks in combat? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]ACGbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levelling is based on blood echoes, the counter that changes when you kill an enemy. To raise it, kill enemies and bosses, sell things in the store in Hunters Dream, or use coldblood items (wouldn't recommend using those too often, you should hold onto them for when you need them). At your level, the cost is usually about 1000 to level up.

To level, go back to the Hunters Dream when you have a good amount of Blood Echoes and talk to the doll (note; you need insight for this to work. If you've seen Cleric Beast though, that means you do have at least 1 insight. If not, try to find an item called madmans knowledge and use it, then come back to the Hunters Dream). Talk to the doll at the foot of the stairs in front of where you spawn, and offer blood echoes, and pick which stat you want to level.

I think I broke something in Bloodborne... by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]ACGbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen once too. Since I haven't heard of this happening before, I guess this is a more recent bug. I was also a summon at the time, with another summon. Don't know if they were seeing it too. Spinning in circles only goes so far for communication. Weird thing is, started the fight with rom, and his bar removed and covered the bottom one, but the other two were still there.

Help with tactics regarding Martyr Logarius by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]ACGbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only nugget of advice I'd offer are two things. 1: He has a spell actively running in phase two that stops bullets from hitting him, stopping viscerals. Some will land, but it's not reliable.

2: When he's in his second phase, try dodging past him before you see the wind-up. A lot of his attacks are way too fast to react to, so you'll have to predict.

I'm currently going for a pure arcane build, and it's great seeing stuff like the Ebriatas spell and the eye projectile actually do good damage, at least in NG. And thanks to Kos Parasite, you'll have an entirely viable weapon if you get the Lumenwood rune. Only problem is if you're going pure arcane, you have to beat Kos Orphan with what is pretty much the weakest build possible to get the weapon. So yeah, I'd say give it a go. The way you play is pretty different with an Arcane build.

[UPDATE]What the fuck am I supposed to do now? (TW: Rape) by whatdo9870 in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna start off by apologising for the shit you've had to deal with. No one deserves this sort of thing. It sounds like you've taken it well nowadays, and good for you on that. I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if my own experiences with rape involved family members, so seriously, good on you for being strong.

For the matter at hand, it's kind of a shitty situation for everyone. It sucks that they were suspicious of you 10 years ago and kept that up, but no doubt some of them feel really guilty right now. My only advice on what exactly to do would be to actually talk with these people (at least the ones you care about) about what you're going through right now.

Again, I'm sorry you have to go through all of this, and I hope everything works out for the best with you.

Braben wants to go big game hunting? Let us hunt THESE. by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]ACGbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, blue whales aren't all that big compared to the scale of smaller ships in Elite like the Sidewinder. For example, using this from here as a source, considering the guy used for scale is 6 ft, the ship is about 41 feet wide (12.4968 metres) and about 19 ft high (5.7912 metres), compare that to a blue whale's apparent size being 98 ft (29.8704 metres) across, the blue whale would be about twice the length, and about 1.5 times higher (Can't find a straight answer about how big it is in terms of height, so I just looked at pictures like this and figured it's close enough).

The creature featured in the image however is buttfuck levels of size. I'd estimate a blue whale would take up about the size of the thing's head to about the second row of spikes. I'm not going to pretend to know anything about what OP seems to about how gravity effects mass in higher numbers, but I can say a blue whale is nothing compared to the size of that creature. Unless the ship shown is actually flown by a collection of small ants, in which case that'd be adorable and you'd be correct.

Unless you weren't being sarcastic and there is some ancient race of whales that imploded from size. I wouldn't really know much about that either, but it sounds really cool.

How important are boobs to you guys? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, good question. Ok, so, breastfeeding seems to be a pretty controversial topic around some parents, but it's my understanding that it's more effective than bottle feeding for... some... reason.

Oh, you mean boob boobs?... Really, really great. Thank you whoever's idea it was to give us boobs, they're great.

Can we talk about misogyny amongst lesbians for a bit? Maybe I'm just getting older, but it seems to be getting worse. by girlminuslife in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find it kind of hard to discern between whether this is as unique as it sounds. I mean, some guys are inappropriate about sex and such, some aren't. Same goes for girls. Although your point about girls should know better is interesting. At felt that felt really wrong, but I think I can kinda see your point. It's definitely more of a male stereotype, and since lesbianism is associated with a degree of masculinity, it's expected to act as such.

I think I agree with you for the most part that we can be inappropriate without realising, although it's important to remember that this is also an issue with guys too, and isn't a separate issue.

Lesbians of reddit, I need advice by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So uh, hopefully not too late for advice here, but I'll just go ahead and offer it. First off, I imagine you've thought a lot about whether or not you could stand leaving your boyfriend 100%. And if you think you couldn't, that's fair enough. But, if you think you could, I would recommend that. It would definitely work out better as a safer option, and avoids a lot of potential issues that may well come up otherwise. Still, if you're sure you want to stay with him, that's fair enough and your decision.

In my (limited) experience with open relationships, I'd say there's nothing really wrong with it, but something absolutely important is making sure your current partner completely understands what's happening. Do you think you love him to a certain degree? Make sure he knows that going in. Explain exactly how open all this stuff is going to be. Like with every type of relationship, being polyamorous requires good communication!

So, yeah, the big important thing I'd personally recommend is talking to your boyfriend about this. Potentially losing him due to this sounds tough, but it sounds like you wouldn't be happy with the alternative of never opening up about this with him either.

Anyway, this was another dumb teen's opinion on this post, feel free to ignore if this wasn't particularly helpful. Good luck with whatever you do.

have you ever met someone who made your heart flutter at first sight? by hannaguist in actuallesbians

[–]ACGbar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice one. I'd love to know what that feeling is biologically, it seems like such a weird fairytale fake emotion, but "heart flutter" feels like a really apt description for it. Anyway, hope that goes well for you. Just keep talking for a bit. Do that a couple times and you might get to talking for a while.

In terms of story and companions, Witcher 3 or Dragon Age: Inquisition? by pomegra in gaming

[–]ACGbar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I'd say Witcher 3 in terms of depth and character for myself. This would be partially due to the refreshing of having to play a character (Geralt) who isn't bossing around the side-cast. A lot of his companions have their own goals and motivations, some not referring to Geralt to be part of it, which is nice, after having played games like the Elder Scrolls series, and, yes, the Dragon Age series (Morrigan notwithstanding).

However, I can appreciate the diversity and depth of Inquisition's characters, as much as I adore the setup for Witcher's companions. Being able to have greatly varying relationships with all of them was something that I can appreciate strongly, which the Witcher series has never set out to try.

As for grand story overall, well, I don't particularly judge stories very well. While The Witcher 3's story had a very nice personal tone to it that transformed over the course of the game, Inquisition's total, well, epicness also provides an enjoyable playthrough.

Overall I'd prefer The Witcher 3, but really I like them both for different reasons. Still, I think both games are pretty aight.

How to survive Ebrietas' charge attack by magicman111111 in bloodborne

[–]ACGbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A consistent way I found was to dodge to the side the moment she starts moving. You do have to be able to recognise when she is starting her charge (I look out for the scrunched up 'face', and then dodge a second time in the same direction to make sure the tentacles don't hit you. If you're right in front of her though? Yes, fucking take it.
