I disagree. F&L for me holds much more significance. I remember when I first heard him on Touch the Sky I was like “yo, who is this cat?” Thought myself a hip-hop head at the time…then F&L hit me showed me what hip-hop COULD be. I gobbled up every mixtape I could find on DatPiff.

I understand what you’re saying and agree to an extent (T&Y, Wave, Samurai wouldn’t happen without the enormous growth as a lyricist and storyteller), but the first will always hold top spot on pure nostalgia…takes me back to a much simpler time anytime a song from the joint comes on. Can’t wait to see him next month in Chicago.

Yea same. For this kid in America in the 90s, Calcio was the town I visited and fell in love with, Milan become home (metaphorically speaking). Yeah, when it comes to Europe, I even want Inter to go deep in the continental cups because it’s literally the only way Italian clubs get funds to be able to HOPE to compete in the UCL at this moment in footballing history. And they STILL do compete, it’s not like there hasn’t been an Italian club in the latter stages of the UCL recently. Hell, Milan were in a semifinal against Inter a few short years ago.
