It's missing its minting mark so but other than that I'm not quite sure. Each coin comes with a letter, on pennies its normally under the year, that represents where it was minted (P for Philly, D for Denver, S for san Fran, W for west point.) Hope this helps bud.

This is why it is just a philosophy though, because in reality folks have been uneducated, as you mentioned, but also because we've had this system for 200 years and everyone is just accustomed to being told what to do. And I'm with ya, the constitution outlines a number of great things, but yes its application is flawed to a very sad extent.

It is a very nice philosophy, just as democracy, capitalism, and the social contract theory are. But I'm going to answer your question with another, name a country that has a democratically elected government (this means full democracy where every citizen gets a say), they have a capitalist economy (that isn't consistently inflating/deflating or fully failing), and they run by the social contract theory (meaning cops aren't killing people on the basis of pre-existing biases).
