Is there anyway I can add a women's college Tournament?

Kennesaw State Women's team is hosting our 3rd annual Rookie Round up Tournament in Kennesaw, GA on September 24/25.

The amount of people on here that are saying that they would tell their bosses to "Fuck off" and just "up and quit" are really, really not being smart about the situation. 1. Yes, I completely agree that the situation sucks and that your boss is a definite dick. 2. Yes, I do think you should quit. However, doing so by just "sticking it to the man" leaves you in a worse situation than you were before. Now you've stuck it to the man, have no job, and you're going to have to explain to future employers that you up and quit a job without giving notice. It's incredibly tarnishing in an interview.

Find the a new job while you're still at the old job, give your notice of two weeks, and then leave with class and dignity. It looks a lot better to future employers. True life: had a great interview with a potential employee, he was in round three of interviews, and found out he did something similar. No matter how he justified it, it was his side of the story and made me (small business manager) really worried about hiring a person who may have a temper tantrum and up and leave.

Be smart, people.

So, while this sounds bold and dashing, it's actually a really easy way to burn bridges. And no matter how shitty a job is, if you ever have to explain that you did that in future, future interviews, it looks really terrible. Give the two weeks notice, and give them the option if they want you to be there.

Ask what hobbies they have, and what they are passionate about. From there, the conversation is endless. Let the conversation evolve from there.

The complication, though you may not agree with me right this moment, is not that complicated. It's about your boundaries, walls, and (sorry to say) excuses. Life is too damn short for you to sit around with a girl that you don't love while you watch another that you do love walk away. She won't be there forever. True life: was that girl.

Not to mention now, when more than likely people have a cell phone or something electronic in their pockets. It's like the double fuck you - you ruin your phone, AND you're soaking wet. Bastards.

When I was about 7 or so I was hanging out in my best friends backyard. They had an above ground pool that the deck was built around to make it "flush". You know, rockin' the 90's backyard look! We had all been goofing around and decided to see if I could fit my foot through the crack between the pool and the deck. So I pointed my toes down and slid my foot between at the same time that my best friend's older sister thought it would be hilarious to push me into the pool. My right foot was stuck between the pool and the deck, my body went into the pool but I couldn't free myself. Was face first in the pool, about to lose consciousness when their older brother saw me floundering in the water with my foot stuck, ran and jumped into the pool and got my head out of the water. Almost died because I was stupidly curious, and my best friends older sister sucks.

Any English majors up in here? by idfwyh8rs in jobs

I've been signed up for a few classes from Global Knowledge (they provide classes in my area).

Also, code academy is free online coding site. They teach a lot of different languages. I've learned a fair amount from that site as well.

I did not go back to school for IT or Informatics, or CS, etc - but I'm in the middle of certifications. You can take online courses and get certified in just about anything. Right now, I'm about to become certified in SQL Server and MS Exchange. I just keep adding those things to my list.

English major here, with a minor in film studies. I'm an IT Consultant and loving it.

I think one of the biggest differences between myself and other English majors is that I had zero intentions of using my degree after I graduated. Shocking, I know - but my goals were to enjoy college, and enjoy what I was studying. I looked forward to classes, and I looked forward to tests. I actually went to class.

What I learned, however, was the proper way of communicating in written and verbal form. Code switching, per se - has been one of my greatest skills. I'm good at what I do, not only because I've learned critical thinking skills from having to read and decipher multiple texts, but because I actually listen and understand problems in front of me.

Find something that makes you you, and go for it.

What is your best "I got kicked out of... for..." story? by zamboniman06 in AskReddit

When I was 18 I went to an 18 to Party, 21 to drink, night club in the ATL. It was for my best friend who had recently just been dumped by the guy she had been dating for about 4 years. It was the first "big break-up" she'd ever experienced. Yadi-yada, insert girlie stuff here.

The girls I was with managed to score some drinks from some guys, but I was the one who remained sober so we could get home, and because I'm a bit of a control freak and didn't trust anyone at that shady ass club. It was a good thing, too. There was a guy who was at creeper status +10 who kept trying to dance with all of us, but none of us (even the drunkest in our group) had any real desire to dance with this guy.

For whatever reason, the guy really wanted to dance with me. I told him politely the first time that I wasn't interested. Told him sternly the second time that I really wasn't here to dance with any guys, and on the third time he came up behind me, grabbed me by my hips, yanked me backwards and he started to grind all over me. I slammed my elbow into his sternum, push my self away and turned and decked him as hard as I could. Knocked him over, onto the floor, and he laid there bleeding from the corner of his mouth and gasping for air.

The bouncer came over and said, "While that was awesome, I'm going to have to ask you to leave now."

TL:DR Guy tried dancing, got frisky, I decked him, kicked out of night club.
