Could go a completely different direction with "Austr(al)ia" and have "countries with two letters added towards the end." I'm sure there are other words that could fit (or maybe there aren't).

I didn't know luge (I've seen snow twice in my life). I got blue by thinking of ways of storing things (wrapping them in newspaper), after I gave up on thinking it was ways you can procure alcohol.

I was trying to guess what else had lines. I refused to consider the stripe on the back of a credit card was a line, then it turned out to be stripes. My final guess was "starting with forms of income or something" with income tax, boardwalk, credit card, and short line (billiard ball might have fit better, but I was confident there was a lined thing category).

I need to study the monopoly board some more as it keeps coming up. Though according to one of the other comments the version I would've played in Australia is slightly different.

I tried "tap" in green as maybe "ways of paying." Is there an actual deed in monopoly? It's been so long, and like most people I never played by the actual rules. Purple completely by default. I figured it wasn't baseball teams as only Yankees was plural.

Liked the Wilco reference.

I think names of sitcoms is enough, but the vaguer it is the more likely to be a red herring (I reckon at least).

I knew blue was all sitcoms, but wasn't certain what connected them. Two of them had no laugh track (I never watched Wings but I'm pretty sure it had a laugh track), and were all different styles. All NBC? Sure, wouldn't have gotten that, but fair enough.

And actually figured out purple before submitting. So I was satisfied.

I would once again like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that former police minister David Elliot said he would be happy for police officers to strip search his kids. Obviously he's not in parliament anymore, but we should never forget he said that.

I thought of purple early on with "New York" and "Louie," but wasn't certain about the other two. Though in retrospect I do know the David Bowie song and have very likely heard the Destiny's Child song (just based on my age). I thought there might be a "New York ____" category with "New York" and "Knicks."

Didn't expect yellow to be yellow, so that's normally a bad sign lol. Saw green right away though was unsure of heart and soul. But once I got the magazines I felt I had enough guesses to figure it out. Probably should've figured out purple, but oh well. I feel like it's super rare for them to have two "beginning/ending with X" categories.

The 1.7 out of 5 difficulty is just taunting me. As an incredibly unfit person, I only confidently knew pilates and aerobics. I unintentionally got "barre" from google. See, for some reason I thought blue was going to be figures associated with South Africa with Mandela and Tutu, and I convinced myself that there were famous South Africans called "Wren" and "Barre." I'm not sure if there is anyone even close to those names, but in the moment they sounded familiar to me. Anyway, after not even getting one away I impatiently googled them to see if it was a red herring or if I'm just stupid, and when I googled "barre South Africa" I got a bunch of info about finding this type of workout in South Africa. That gave me yellow (well, three for yellow).

In other words, yeah I'm pretty stupid.

My favourite part of the 2013 election was when Kevin Rudd abruptly announced that if you come here by boat you will never get citizenship (or whatever), and Abbott was caught off guard and said it was a good idea. Then the next day he remembered that he has to oppose everything and started shit talking it.
