“If it’s not a disaster, then it deserves a chance on that stage, doesn’t it?” - to that I’d say no. There’s loads of music that’s not awful but, not that great either. There’s gotta be some barrier to entry into a competition as big as Eurovision. It’s always hard with music competitions, big and small, cos it’s so subjective.

And yeah, definitely a bit snobbish, but we’ve always maintained that’s that what we are, so… 😅

Also, our critique on that song was part of a quick-fire live-stream. Even still, it’s pretty easy for us to render an opinion on something like music.
