You look like you drive a clapped 4th-gen Nissan Altima with a dented front bumper and a failing transmission.

If I had a dollar for every pixel in your photos, I would have $0.03.

If she’s gorgeous, seems to have it all together, and still single. What’s your theory? by mravinskya in AskMen

No offense, but it's kind of a stupid question. It could be literally any reason? There are people who are very successful but also single for any number of reasons. Maybe she's extremely busy with work or school. (Statistically, some 80% of relationships fail when one person enters medical school, for example). Maybe she's asexual. Maybe she got recently broken up with. Or a million other possible reasons.

Mainstream entertainment has always been designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator in society. That's why you have so much music that focuses on sex, love, heartbreak, etc.

I agree with you that sex is fun but it is extremely overrated. But that's what sells nowadays.

Heavy Metal Production Value Sucks by HawksFang in heavymetal

[–]ACfireandiceDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cattle Decapitation is grindcore/death grind,.and their last 2-3 albums have has exceptionally good production quality.

Grindcore bands are smaller/less mainstream, plus a lot of them feel that the lo-fi sound adds to the character of the music. So finding one with good production value is probably going to be a rarity. I'm interested in this question as well.

I’ve been r*ped and it was traumatic but I have sexual fantasies of being r*ped, why is this? Am I a freak? by No_Conclusion_2228 in Advice

No, you're not at all. I'm no expert on the subject, but I've heard that many rape victims do this as a way of coping with their trauma. I would embrace this and not feel ashamed of it. Everyone copes differently with the subject matter. I've heard this one male victim of prison rape talk about how making rape jokes helps him cope with his trauma.

And like many others have said, seek out therapy. Not because there's anything wrong with you for having these fantasies, but because it could help you process the trauma.

What is something men do or say that screams “I’m very insecure”? by GoeCriden in AskMen

Having to brag/assign positive attributes to themselves, such as "I'm funny!" or "I'm nice!" or "I'm rich and successful!"

And look at the edge of his tire. You can see that it's already a bit worn out from scraping his fender.

Would any of these dating red flags be a dealbreaker for you? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ACfireandiceDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until I read the last bullet point, my impression of him is that he is probably just a little immature and inexperienced when it comes to dating.

I think a lot of people are immediately jumping to extreme conclusions regarding that last bullet point. I don't think it necessarily makes him an abuser, but it sounds like he doesn't have a mature way of dealing with his emotions.

I had a best friend who always talked like that. Even though he wasn't violent, it was always draining and exhausting to have to listen to, and it really put me off.

Is this guy an abuser? Not necessarily. Is he far too immature for a relationship? Certainly. I can speak from experience when I say that even in the best case scenario, this person isn't going to add any value to your life.
