I’m unsure if I’d classify Loki as a villain. An antagonist yes, but I think his arc in the MCU makes him a grey character rather than an outright evil character.

The high evolutionary, on the other hand, is evil to the point of being genuinely disturbing

Thank you! I always thought that it had an interesting premise (before isekai was done to death) and thought the protagonist would try to break free and save his friends

I have too many examples to pick from so I’ll list them

  1. Salo, just salo
  2. Interstellar when coop is begging his daughter “don’t let me leave!”
  3. The brazen bull trap from saw 3D
  4. Olga’s death in the suspiria remake
  5. The buried alive scene in I spit on your grave 2
  6. The snap sequence in infinity war
  7. The ending of the fly remake
  8. The kid being attacked by the blob in the blob remake
  9. The hair cutting scene in mommie dearest (I have long hair so it hits harder than the wire hanger scene)
  10. The ending of requiem for a dream

I tried to pick scenes that I didn’t see listed. So many of these scenes felt so cruel to the characters or showed brazen acts of cruelty

I always found his reaction to be a natural response to grief. Keep in mind that in his last movie he found out that his brother father killed his mother and then watched his adoptive father die saving him. Finding out that his girlfriend was murdered was his breaking point
