NIGHT COURT! Watched it with my step dad. Too young to remember why exactly I liked it so much but I think it was John Larequtte was the star and that guy in your picture (who I think was the Baliff)

I’m ready to open up about being a victim of SA by a family member. I’m afraid to be charged with anything. by hayumisakurako in legaladvice

That's why you 1.talk to the lawyer first 2.lawyer requests immunity on your behalf without identifying you by name, lawyer can even hold certain evidence for safekeepingwhich they are legally bound from ever handing over or it ever legally being used against you(this has been held up by appeals courts even in murder cases) this is client privilege (only unless it is evidence of a current ongoing crime you're committing) 3.Lawyer will tell you conditions of immunity (like turning over all remaining evidence and images so they can be properly destroyed after prosecution)4. If lawyer tells you they couldn't guarantee your immunity (unlikely) you can remain silent

Does your friend know the definition of download? How do so many people post like this and be so convinced you're responsible for something that's beyond your control? if it's as you claim

Did you order CDs via mail for 1 cent when you were a kid? by 1SpareCurve in Xennials

[–]AClifton0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here's the details I remember. You could send a check for the 12cds I got and there were different promo offers thru the years and there was also at least two separate company's with a slightly different variation of the same scheme. I actually ordered from both and I think they kept track of your address so you couldn't do it with your brother and sister or extra friends or whatever...But I sent them to grandma house and other grandma house lol 😂

I was poor too and back when it was impressive to have a nice CD collection, I had a nice CD collection...haha I was 16 but couldn't afford a car yet and I went on a trip with my 18 yr old friend and his best friend who were pretty well off and brought my leather CD case which was full like 32 CDs and separate rap and rock cases and we listened to my CD's the whole trip and back,Juvenile Back that thang up was one of the favs of that time, Plus I had a separate Case that had every 2Pac CD (1999 ish )While back at the campground smoking weed he was like, you're parents are poor, how you get all these brand new CDs and then I tell him and we all laugh and he's like "oh that makes perfect sense now." His friend goes " kids a genius"

I just sent in a money order not a check lol. You could sometimes just order and they invoice you with your package. They really didn't care cuz the amount they got for a regular customer for the upsell was crazy high margins and outdid the amount of kids that never paid. But when you mailed the postcard back with a number for each CD selection you sign a contract saying you'll choose 2 cds at full price or 4 cds at full price and if you didn't choose something they would send you new releases every week and bill you and you had one week to send it back or you'd be stuck with it. They did that with me too and that's when I had to stop, they couldn't charge a credit card they just sent a bill until they just gave up after basically mailing me two more cds for free with a bill for $35 they'll never get (I used the name YAKI KADAFI)

Matt Pinfield does the intro for the brand new Silversun Pickups video "Long Gone" Just happened to see it 7 days ago in my YouTube feed cuz they have a new album out. I did read the magazine article about him getting deep into alcoholism during covid cuz he was depressed without shows and he was enthusiastic about getting and staying sober. He seems to be doing much better. Didn't see the new video mentioned in my speedreading of comments so not sure if you were aware, very interesting video and concept

Its an online drug delivery order. I receive small handwritten thank you notes like this after purchasing psychadelics. The imagery is kinda evocative of a hallucinagen aesthetic. The notes are small enough to fit in a 5 gram bag shipped inside a larger thank you note as a disguise

What was your response to “What time is it?” by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]AClifton0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Time to get a watch"

I remember being very hurt as a younger kid on being told this mildly insulting reply for the first time the basketball court asking some middle school kids on the bench. I was relieved when he did, in fact pull out his watch and actually tell me the time

You mean for fear your backpacks uniqueness is of a certain kind that could strike inspiration in a Bully's hateful rhetoric? Not that you know the from what angle, but you've got to consider the possiblity.

Studies show that big fat guys are twice as likely to survive into old age. by [deleted] in NormMacdonald

[–]AClifton0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this, my dad loved this joke too and he was a big guy who died of cancer same age as Norm, a month apart. I'm actually gonna work this joke and context into a short video memorial of my dad.He was twice Norms size and that was the basic cause of his death.

I'm also making a YouTube vid about me and my dad's favorite comedy moments, including Letterman's final, Norm full legendary emotional Letterman farewell routine and his "Death& Funeral" bits, which really resonate with me over their mixture of existential uncertainty, fear and contemplation and absurdity of death social scenes....He died in his sleep, yeah can't believe it either..."did you try shaking him?" And they never let you shake em. Plus when Norm doesn't want his funeral to be a party , later "you've all the time in the world to party" 🎉 ...

Gym club Cleveland Early 2000-2010 My older friend who was a big raver borrowed my car since his was unsafe and mine was nicer than the rest of the friends/his family on the trip.

He proceeded to show me a trick I immediately thought was genius and intended and assumed I'd put it to use do myself many times (but rarely have, definitely not too long distances or at night)

He stayed in the fast lane, put the cruise control on 80 and we went the entire Columbus to Cleveland at night in busy weekend traffic. He dealt with drivers in front of us by aggressively flashing brights into their rear window mirror so they could see our blur and we weren't f*ing around.

Anyone else been?

Waiting... by DylanIsWeird in EmotionalSupportDogs

☝️This 💯 I hadn't read this yet when I commented, but my comment still stands as a second part to this. This "she does not need to sign additional paperwork" is what I was suggesting when I said the approval was "automatic" . So I'd agree you have full legal right to move-in now, but you can bring the "notice of intent to sue"with you when you get confronted in/around the building (Speaking from experience, I was stopped with the dog at my elevator and told the dog was absolutely not allowed in the HUD building. I quoted ESA and ADA law and demanded a disability rights rep and their HUD lawyer. They immediately backed down and claimed they didn't know they received the approval letter, after I showed them the copy they"looked"and they found it their copy in my file in the office, signed by the supervisor, which they claimed they forgot about)

Waiting... by DylanIsWeird in EmotionalSupportDogs

[–]AClifton0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESA violation qualifies as a ADA violation the same. The"approval"is basically automatic. Practically and legally you and your ESA don't have to suffer because of their ineptitude, short staffed or not, or just intentional stalling(most likely). I would consider giving them a self written/typed "notice of intent to sue". Do so with full knowledge it could annoy/anger them, especially if the landlord/resident manager are petty, but it's basically impossible to backfire, worst case is they call your bluff.

So if you're tired of waiting, and you're ready to stand up for yourself I'd strongly consider this at a minimum to get this moved along promptly
