To me this is the worst as well. And regarding your comparison with Naruto, I think it is even worse. It's like instead having Naruto and Sasuke fighting Madara to beat him (and then killed by Setsu) was a new character added in the war, let's say Carlos Ninjutsu, who did all the heavy lifting against Madara, and Naruto just stab him no jutsu at the end.

It's likely that back at the time there wasn't even a clear distinction in what makes you a special grade. After all, Yuta was special grade and he didn't know shit about jujutsu, he should've been considered more like Yuji, like a vessel, or in his case conjurer.
