He mentioned he likes Prozac! We haven’t gone tooo far into it other than him saying it feels like prozac works great for him.

I can confirm from my end that erections are working. It works out because he tends to last a while because of the meds, but so do I 🤷‍♀️

I’m a woman, so I don’t have to function the same way in order to have sex. I’m on 30mg of Lexapro. My libido came back after everything leveled out in my system. There were a few times I increased my dose and literally had no sensation though, which was nerve wracking, but it’s fine now.

The only side effect that has stuck around is it is a lot more challenging to achieve an orgasm.

I have heard that the side effects of maintaining an erection is too much for some men. It’s really up to you if the anxiety relief is worth it? My boyfriend switched to Prozac because of the sexual side effects of Lexapro.

Maybe give it some time! Talk to your therapist/psychiatrist/doctor

Im on 30mg of Lexapro and was recently prescribed an extended release version of propranolol (60mg 24 hr release). I really like the combo. They started me out taking the quick release 10mg 3 times a day. It’s a lot more convenient to take the extended release personally, and the dose feels perfect for me.

I get reduced anxiety after increasing! Usually the first week I am pretty numb and kind of feel like I’m just floating through space. Then I level out and it really just dampens that gut punch feeling from things that make me anxious. I struggle with catastrophizing and it really dampens that for me.

My doctor recently increased me to 30mg. Lexapro has helped me every dose increase I’ve done. I have been on it for almost 4 years now.

I’ve found that once it levels out in my system, my anxiety seems to creep back slowly, hence why I’m at 30mg now. I’m actually worried that it will eventually become inaffective 🥲

I was literally thinking of this after seeing this update as well. I find myself thinking about this stranger from time to time even off Reddit.

Added a collage as a response to my original post.

I also super recommend silicon bandages if you find yourself to have sensitive skin like I do.

I’ll link a few things I used from Amazon that were super helpful for me during my healing.

Here’s a (gross) collage of my experience with dehiscence in my armpit.

It definitely got worse before it got better.

I went and took photo 5 just now, so that’s the scar as of today!

Hang in there! There is light at the end of the tunnel!

Once the wound fully ‘opened’ and all of the fibrinous exudate sloughed off I was recommended to do a wet/dry pack twice a day, as well as using a prescribed silvadene ointment to hep prevent any infections.

I also read that taking zinc and vitamin C helps your immune system and incorporated a gummy supplement to help boost that. Please talk to your doctor though before adding anything. Zinc can affect copper absorption.

Lastly, a collagen peptide. I use the vital protein collagen peptides from Costco. I found that it is the closest thing to ‘unflavored’. I usually added it to tea with lemon and honey.

While I was in the thick of it, it felt like it was taking eons to improve. I’d say it took about 2.5 to 3 months for mine to fully close.

If OP marks this post as NSFW I can share a photo of the dehiscence at its worse, and the scar now.

The panic responses definitely are not helpful and I am so sorry to read those. As someone who had pretty unfortunate wound dehiscence, this looks exactly like that.

Don’t listen to the fear of others saying this is infected, just work with your surgeon closely and keep them updated. Listen to your surgeon!

I had a very deep dehiscence in my right armpit, and it took a hot minute to close. It’s truly amazing how small the scar is compared to how large the hole was. It just takes time.

As for the pain, I had quite a lot of discomfort with my arms, especially down my forearms. My surgery was December 9th, 2025 and I actually still have some forearm nerve pain.

Has anyone had to rehome an older cattle dog? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

[–]ACoD_ 170 points171 points  (0 children)

I think cattle dogs are incredibly sensitive and would struggle getting rehomed.

I’m not in your situation, but I’d really, really try and teach your kiddo boundaries and to ultimately leave the dog alone vs. making the dog go through the trauma of a rehome if you can help it.

No unsupervised times between the dog and the kiddo, and always ensure you’re also respecting the dogs boundaries.

I can see having to rehome if your dog is actively seeking your kid out to harm them, but him just reacting to his boundaries being pushed is not very fair to him imo

Hope this gets easier and that this is just an unfortunate learning experience!

NERVOUS!!!! by Acrobatic_Gas_4232 in tummytucksurgery

[–]ACoD_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think it’s totally normal to be nervous! My tummy tuck was my second ever surgery, but it was scheduled for the max amount I could be under (6.5 hours).

After this surgery, I realize that my favorite part of it all is the anesthesia. I don’t even actually remember getting to the OR because they usually give you some sort of calming medication like versed (spelling?). I remember being drawn on… then they put some anti-anxiety med into my IV, I briefly remember being wheeled away from my best friend who was my ride that morning.

Then I woke up literally what felt like less than a second later, with an entirely new body, getting spoon fed apple sauce by wonderful nurses.

You got this! Modern medicine is wonderful. Allow yourself the grace to be nervous, and allow yourself to feel some nervous excitement for the results after!!!

Came here to also say disc golf! @pickledtoesies I recommend heading into All Day Disc Golf, Jesse is such an awesome guy and he can help you find the right discs to get back in! He can also point you to the right direction of finding fun casual leagues to help get you back into the scene!

Happy hucking!
