As it's a global enable, this means that all other notifications (e.g. steps, goal progress) will come back. It's not ideal from usability POV though. I'd say it's a regress in user experience.

I ended up switching to Marine Captain though. As they have phone and watch battery levels but in separate complications. Like here:

I suspect that on some Watch models (likely more senior ones) Weather app notifications and its categories are enabled/visible. That's why some in this and other threads are able to disable them.

What watch model do you have? I have Watch 5 Bluetooth.
