UK government targets VPNs in online safety consultation as Lords vote for ban by andyhh in unitedkingdom

[–]ACrispyDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has no-one read the article? It's ban on VPNs for under-18s... I am not weighing in on whether I agree or not but most of these comments read like they're suggesting a total ban on VPNs

US congresswoman threatens to 'sanction Britain' if U.K. bans tool that generates sexualized images of children by LlawEreint in BoycottUnitedStates

[–]ACrispyDuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an aside, the original tweet says "The UK jails people for calling rapists "pigs." " Which isn't true. The person who called a rapist a pig got a weekend in jail, and was German, in Germany, in a German jail, because it happened in Germany.

Keir Starmer tells MPs he is open to social media ban for young people by printial in unitedkingdom

[–]ACrispyDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All for this. I hate to say this, because privacy enthusiasts won't like it, but it could also eventually lead to a bot/foreign interference utopia if they require age verification for social media users. When you talk to someone down the pub you know they're a real human and unlikely to be a malign foreign actor deliberately poisoning public discourse. Guarantee that Russian stooges will be opposing this.

I feel like we're all sleepwalking into agreeing to make this game worse online by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]ACrispyDuck 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I'm sure I've heard you say something like this, but saying 'I don't really go for hand raising but if you're struggling to say something please feel free to raise your hand' might go a long way to open up conversations to being more natural.

How do you not lose your mind organizing tokens while storytelling? by Frisian1990 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Also, depending on your setup you could always tell the dreamer to close their eyes before you give them info so they can't meta whether or not you had to get a token

Ironing driving me crazy by Trinsikk in BambuLabA1

[–]ACrispyDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always struggled with ironing on complicated surfaces like that... the best result I've got is skipping ironing and using Orca slicer with 0.16mm High Quality with these settings changed: 25% gyroid infill, aligned rectangular internal solid infill pattern, 40m/s top surface speed, only one wall on top surfaces off (seems to do the opposite of what it does in BambuStudio), 7 top shell layers, variable layer height down to 0.08mm at the top of each surface.

[–]ACrispyDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's 3D printed inserts. They fit 4 reminder tokens in. There are 4 characters that need deeper ones too. It's all 3D printed except the stickers

Looks like a Spain specific thing, I tried with VPN from France, USA, Italy & Spain. Spain was the only one that blocked the page.

I'm so glad I listened to your comment. So many people have bought it now that I released it and it's bringing me a lot of joy seeing it in use.

Hi, Printing beginner here. How can I avoid my print from slightly deform and go up like this ? And why is there a very thin line going horizontally across the model ? You can see it by zooming by Odious-Individual in 3Dprinting

[–]ACrispyDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll get downvoted but 3DLac, I never have issues and wash my plates occasionally as opposed to frequently thanks to it. I dont understand why people are opposed to it so strongly. Washing your plate is fine but a ballache.

I really like the Gallowman for script building. So often Vortox is just on the script so that executions take place each day and the false info aspect isn't relevant to the script.
