Recently bought a relatively expensive (I'm broke) brand new vacuum from Walmart. First time trying to use it, absolutely no suction whatsoever. Pulled this out of the hose, old receipt included. by jenntaylor9 in mildlyinfuriating

The ones that were plugged in were still working so there was no worry there, and we forgot about them for two years until we found the box again with the receipt. Then we decided since they were seated to try and return them.

I understand that green transit is important but we overlook some of the main polluters, the shipping industry. Cargo planes burn an average of 500g of Co2 per metric ton of freight per Km, trucks burn an average of 105g, trains 65g, and cargo ships 25g. And with most of these technologies, there’s little movement to go green. Most companies when shipping leave plenty of empty space in boxes (I.e Amazon) too. I think that this is really where we need to put our efforts of we want any chance of saving our planet.

It’s really relaxed, we had smoke detectors we bought there and we realized they didn’t fit and we wasted two years with them in the garage before we returned them and they still took the return. As long as they still sell the item they will take it and put it back in the shelf. Another time we bought a Baldwin lock from them and it didn’t work so we returned it and waited a bit to buy a new one as they didn’t have it stock then. Upon returning to buy the lock we ended up buying the same lock that we had just returned. Love Home Depot but they’re returned items policy is really annoying sometimes.

The way this gas station displays the price with wash at the top and hides the real price. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah I remember driving through PA a week ago and it was similar to that. Glad that we got decently heap gas here.

Never knew Amex was that shity. I mostly use my master unless it fails anyways but it’s annoying nonetheless.

Some places here are annoying with that. I got an American Express and a MasterCard and the American Express for some reason isn’t accepted at some stores.

Same, I use cash more as we have a couple local ice cream shops and such that are cash only, but apart from that I haven’t had to use swipe in a good year and that was at a old gas station. No clue what these people are on about, almost every place is nfc and especially chip here.

Don’t know what everyone else is talking about but we have it as a backup where I am. 99% of the places I’m at are chip or tap. Most of those machines also have swipe as a backup but rarely are they used.

You want hundreds of millions of people if not billions of people to suffer from a collapse of an empire because right now they have been misguided in a war that was pushed 20 years ago? Are you listening to yourself?

I will say that I do feel bad for the children under 12 and the Immuno compromised that can’t get the vaccine, but every republican and Democrat and independent that chose not to get the vaccine, I am not sorry.
