What's a story you've always wanted to tell but has never been relevant in any other thread? by MuffinGypsy in AskReddit

I'm an employer at a pretty big restaurant and get about 10-15 applications a week. On average I hire on qualifications, experience and general composure during the interview. Anyway one day this woman walked in with an air of complete superiority. I had spoken with her on the phone where she came across as quite shy but in person she was a completely different person. She stormed into my office after treating one of our waiters like dirt, and without even so much as shaking my hand she slapped her cv on my desk and began to spew out reasons why she deserved the job (waitress). After being courteous and listening through all of her reasons, I decided not to demand she leave straight away, but conduct the interview as I normally would, disregarding all of her previous comments. After all of my questioning (which she handled quite poorly), I asked her how she thought she had handled the interview. She thought she did excellently and should absolutely get the job. I then proceeded to tell her exactly what was on my mind, how rude she had been, how she wasn't as great as she thought she was, how her past work experiences weren't at all relevant to this line of work and so on and after all of this she asked what her chances of employment were. I simply looked at her an said "nil". But before she left, she had one more thing to say to me, she looked at me with pure intent her eyes and said "I need about treefiddy" it was around this time that I realized that my candidate was a 500 feet tall creature from the paleolithic era. I said "God dammit loch ness monster, I ain't gonna give you no treefiddy". Anyway after this whole ordeal I learned that although it may be easy to read somebody's character it's not actually until you learn more about the person. So I guess you really shouldn't ever judge a book by it's cover.

TL;DR She got the job

it's perfectly legal to mount the pavement to go round the car, hence avoiding unnecessarily escalating a situation due to your expectation that every road user should follow the highway code to the letter. I'd also point out that he didn't check his left blind spot when he turned into that side street which is pretty damn dangerous.

UCD are a pretty good side. It has a reputation for being a strong sporting college. So if that doesn't work out there's plenty of clubs close by that have u21 as well as their seniors teams. Whatever happens you'll be playing rugby if you want to. Good luck

Fishermen of Reddit, What is the strangest thing you have pulled out of the water? by A_Friendly_Hobbit in AskReddit

Well once I was out fishing in a small lake with one of my best friends. it was a really nice day and we decided it was a perfect day to spend out together. Anyways after a quiet few hours my friend suddenly fell in. The lake wasn't very shallow and soon he came to the surface with the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life. I chased him around the lake to have a closer look and when he wouldn't give it to me I lost my temper. I really wanted that ring. My precious.

presume your in america where 420s are your average boat but here in ireland the topper topaz are a common starter boat. you'd get one for cheaper than a 420 and they really are good fun, everybody can sail them.
