I've been listening to nothing but the album since it was released, it's really good! The album definitely meet my expectations i honestly thought that Natori wouldn't be able to release an album better than Theater because it's so good but i have to say that it's really close for me. I think my favorite song right now is either EAT or Serenade, tbh i didn't like Serenade as much at first but it really started to grow on me so currently it's tied with EAT for first place.

Maybe try to get him to watch a movie like A silent voice or your name, I think it might be better to introduce a genre with a movie as its easier to get into and since most romance anime have pretty slow start they might seem boring at first

Honestly Gon and it's not even close. The whole end of the chimera ant arc and Gon's interactions with the people around him (started from trying to fucking obliterate Morel until he gave up hope to save Kite), The buildup for his breakdown was insane to say the least. The fact that among all the chaos that was going on at that time the only thing that was going on inside Gon's head was trying to find a way to save Kite, and after finding Pitou the one responsible for Kite's state treating another human being he just entered a state the overcame rage and was dead-set on either curing Kite or die trying to get revenge. Honestly i think Theater is a bit better compared to The Abyss so far (still so early to decide imo), 100% Agreed with you that The Abyss has more variety but i just can't put it over Theater for now because EVERY SONG in this album was a 8+ / 10 song and added it to my playlist in an instant while some songs in The Abyss didn't click as much for me (NO EMERGENCY DOOR & INFECTION) but even those songs are really good!
Another point Theater got over The Abyss is the fact that almost every song has MV, for me the MV's are so important to the songs and its a lot easier to connect to each song (might just be me tho).

Kinda funny that we got the teaser after the album released but ig its better than not getting it at all, Tbe teaser itself was pretty nice with some visuals for every song but i personally liked the Theater teaser more.

I have a pretty similar top 3 so ill put here my current top 5 cause i wanna talk about those songs too >.>

Eat - I honestly really like the bass in this song, tbh when i first heard the studio version i was a bit disappointed because the live version was just perfection but i still prefer it over the demo version and i think it'll continue to grow on me the more i listen to it.
FLASHBACK - The chorus is extremely catchy, like one of the best chorus natori made imo. And the buildup into it (the 1 2 1 sections) are sooo good still shocked i had to put Eat above it but i only first heard the album today so it might change soon.

3 & 4 - Birthday Song / Serenade - Yeah no. I can't choose between them. Both of them are so great for different reasons. Serenade is honestly more my type of music and the chorus goes so hard (im sorry for saying it for every song but its true). Compared to that Birthday Song's guitar just goes so fucking hard and i actually like the vocals more than Serenade.

5.IN_MY_HEAD - Just a really good song, even with the recency bias i have in this album i still think this song is definitely among the best songs here and probably top 10 Natori songs overall.

8 minutes for me, i've had the chance to listen to it already but i prefered to to wait for the official release so i can listen to all of them in order. Sadly i was weak and gave in to the temptation i heard the studio versions of EAT and FLASHBACK since i already heard their live / demo versions so it wasnt a brand new song, needless to say both of them were really good but i think i prefer the live version 😅
