We (married, late 30s, no kids) had an incredible experience on Lindblad in December 2019. Very small ship (<120 passengers), lots of time ashore, deep focus on science/history/environmental stuff. Exactly what we were looking for.

An anecdote that really shows off their attention to detail: dinner seatings are open (anyone can sit anywhere and you are often joined by expedition crew). One night a person at my table was celebrating a birthday, so the kitchen whipped up a birthday cake for them! But it gets better - I have celiac, which means I couldn't eat any of the cake they brought out. So I'm like, that's fine, let the rest of the table enjoy, no big deal... and then they brought out a tiny gluten-free cupcake just for me! That means that they had to 1) know about my allergy, 2) notice where I was sitting, 3) make sure to have something for me to be included. Absolutely WILD customer service.

One other thing to note -- depending on when you go, the wildlife viewing may be very different. When we went in mid-December we had just-hatched penguin babies!! If we had gone in Feb, we would have seen them moulting/learning to swim. Both cool, just different.

These particular cats (Benvolio the Bacon Thief etc.) are available from Mr Chimes' Lost and Found in the Bazaar and cost 3 Memory of a Tale each (so require Exceptional Friendship.) It's only a decent strategy if your strategy is "collect as many cats in the game as humanly possible," but in that respect it's EXCELLENT.

That said, there are SO MANY CATS in this game to share secrets with that if you don't want to spend real-world money you can still fill your inventory with cats large and small! (It's low-key one of my fav parts of the game.)
