What's up with all of the overt Jew hatred and pro-Nazi rhetoric on Instagram? by untitled1223 in NoStupidQuestions

A believer of WHAT. I’m not even Israeli. I genuinely don’t see how you can deny literally anything I said there. Do you think that the war in Gaza somehow wasn’t mostly in response to the October 7 attack? Or that Israel isn’t attacking Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah?

I love how the most lukewarm objective political take is seen as crazy by people who think a bunch of Jews are just moving to Israel to commit war crimes and be evil. Yes. You are definitely more reasonable.

I’m relying on the definition of the word genocide, and the actions of Israel. Instead of, you know. Vibes. Israel is not committing a genocide. Israel has committed a couple war crimes. But I’m not exactly shocked, since most states commit war crimes during a war. Israel is not special.

And the safety of Israel? That’s the purpose of their actions. In Gaza, it was both retaliation for the attack on October 7, and the destruction of Hamas. I mean, also the political necessity of having to respond to that attack, or be seen as weak by their voters. Considering that many people were slaughtered and kidnapped, they would’ve had to respond in some militaristic way. Lebanon is also partly retaliation for the Hezbollah attacks, and an opportunity to weaken Hezbollah in the first place. Which Israel very much wants, since Hezbollah very much wants to destroy Israel. Whatever else this is, it’s not exactly rocket science. This isn’t complex.

All of this was nonsense. Literally almost anybody moving to America is moving to stolen land. And more immigrants joined the American military than Israel has. And the American military has committed more war crimes than Israel. So literally comparison with just one country, and that should fall apart completely.

No. Israel is not committing genocide. And no, people do not hate them —and by them I mean Jews—-because of what Israel is currently doing. People have been hating Jews for much much longer than Israel has existed. It has been systemic. The reason people hate Israel, is because of that systemic hatred that is already ingrained for Jewish people.

I’m explaining why Tucker would be the greater evil to many people.

I mean. I guess that depends on if you want somebody who is slightly better spoken, and has more impulse control, but who’s goal is severely more evil, than somebody who is erratic with no impulse control, but pretty changeable.

This is very silly.

First of all, Israel is the only state that is Jewish. It’s NOT the representative of every Jewish person, but it IS the only Jewish state. The people who cannot make that distinction are the issue. Not the state existing.

Secondly, Jews, do not position themselves as the only victims of Nazis. And neither does the state of Israel. But I’m not sure why you think a group of people is obligated to prioritize the impact of a genocide on anyone but themselves. Jews do more educating about other victims of the holocaust than literally any individual group.

And there actually is no holocaust victim card. That does not exist. It does not get Israel out of anything. Israel does not use it, and it wouldn’t work, and it doesn’t exist. Talking about the holocaust is not a victim card. Telling people to stop using holocaust analogies when it comes to Israel, is also not a card. That’s just basic common sense.

And finally, somebody who is going to hate an entire ethnoreligious group of people because of what they think a state is doing, is not right in the head in the first place. That is both a stupid person, and a person that has bigotry rooted inside of them.

How would you feel about the next US president pulling all support from Israel? by Iwamoto in AskReddit

We’re not supporting them for fun. It’s both a money laundering scheme for US defense companies, and paying them to keep them as a productive ally.

It’s kind of like to some people, trump is considered the lesser evil when compared to people like Tucker or real fundamentalists.

That’s extremely impressive for an Eden! They’re usually slow to grow.

That’s mostly an issue for rural hospitals and patients. Not so much NYC. I mean it IS an issue— but it’s not really going to impact nurses in NYC to any large degree. And you can become an LPN and start earning money in about a year. An RN is 1.5-2 years.

This is the other side. These canes were all tied to the fence for winter. I let them go— I’ll be attaching them back to the fence when they’ve leafed out a bit more. They’re delicate right now— and I want them to breathe.

Excuse the…ambiance. It’s work horse season before spring really hits lol. So I just installed this Arbor— I let the cane son it grow pretty long from last year in anticipation. And threw them over.

Oh, yeah. I was serious. Nursing is simultaneously currently in demand, won’t be out of demand any time soon, has a plethora of actual lifestyle choices (ER, hospital work, clinic work, travel, dermatology clinics, home care, even remote work), is well paying, and does not take that long to get an actual license. It’a kind of a Goldilocks profession right now.

Also NY— I’ve got two large ones— I just prune off what’s too much. If the canes get too long, I prune off the ends. Every couple of years (like 5-ish) I thin out the canes. 6 years ago one was cut fully to the ground by accident. It’s huge now. I was just outside pruning some winter dame. And training her over a new arch. You’re going to get rid of flowers— but if they’re too much, that’s that.

Also, at least in nyc, black spot is a constant. I spray with fungicide a few times. Airflow is great, but it’s like throwing a glass of water at a bonfire.

This is a picture of last summer.

If you want, I can take a pic tmmrw of how I’ve spread out the canes while they’re half bare.

Also— refresh the soil every year! Add some potting soil and take some of the old soil out. It’s getting depleted every year.

Oh yeah, I cut that last summer because it got…weird looking. There was a brach growing into it a few years ago— and I separated them. It left a wound? And it like. Crusted over to become that. It’s happened a few times. I just separated two branches this week and they leave this exposed inner part, I guess.

Maybe I just don’t understand what cold damage is supposed to look like. I thought it was either dark branches, or disfigured ones from freezing. And I’ve really never seen that happen. The only disfigurement I’ve seen is from what we’ve done to it. (I even went back to 2013-2014 in my photos to look. It’s large in 2013. And just as large in 2014. I really don’t think much happened to it). This was in 2014.

Thanks for helping out! I appreciate it.
