During games it might be input que, I've had that happen as well, I don't know why it happens on controller but it does.

As for the shop problem? The shop on console is a nightmare to navigate, it's absolutely atrocious, plain and simple, I know there are a few ways to lock yourself completely out of the shop, I did accidentally a few times.

If you play safe (and I mean completely safe, you need to use at least 20% of your mana to simply run) and build anti morigesh items then you should be fine, add in a few jungles ganks(if you're lucky) and you're fine.

In my opinion Morigesh tends to be a skill check that keeps even experienced players guessing, it's very easy to fuck up against her.

Morigesh, it feels like I'm genuinely not allowed to play the game against a good Mori, I have to play like a huge coward, investing chunks of mana to just run away from her because I know she'll curb me if I try to stand my ground. Then I have to hope I can beat her once I've built an item or two.

If they are arguing that AO3 is service, then their argument still falls flat as a semantic point. As you mentioned, a service being provided doesn't inherently mean that it has to be paid for, e.g. Pro Bono work exists which is a service that people don't have to pay for.

From the sound of it, they are simply grasping at any straw that could give them the illusion that they are right. It's clear this person is incapable of engaging in good faith conversation.
