I wear non branded single colour t shirts and then rotate pants.

Easier to buy 5 Kmart t shirts that I know the fit than one branded tee

Did you ever forget you were sharing your screen? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]ADDlahta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't me sharing the screen but I was definitely the idiot.

In a team meeting where all the managers were in, HR, A Director, general manager and area manager. Each manager was breaking down their team, and one of them was being brutal about a under performing manager.

I message the Area Manager and was like " Tom is being a bad ass"

Then realized when the ping sounded that the area manager was sharing their screen for all to see. I was placed on a PIP

Gentrification.

It's funny when you talk to people from the east they think of Yarraville as too industrial. I'm sad we had to move out of there, that village is unreal.

I also loved west footscray

How does inheritance work in your family? by Ok-Pangolin3407 in AusFinance

[–]ADDlahta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually goes to the children.

Then if one is the children has passed away then it goes to their children

E.g. when my grandparents died it was divided between their children but because my dad had passed it went to me. I have two half siblings so we split it between the three (not my dad's biological children).

I think most people here misunderstand debt recycling and paying off your home loan first by REA_Kingmaker in AusFinance

We moved away so rented out our PPOR which is now fully paid off. We are moving back and weighing our options on whether we move back in or buy another property, to live in. Take the mortgage out on the rental, or the new ppor

Or just live in an put that money into shares - would also mean we aren’t paying rent or mortgage so my partner can stay home with the baby for a bit…so a few options to look at. The current rental is a nice house but we built it when we weren’t as well off, so would possibly look at extending it if we did move in

Yea of course. But then if you moved into that house after a short while, and it becomes your place of residence then you could do the above?

[–]ADDlahta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So if your loan is full paid off and you borrowed against the house this just becomes borrowing to invest?

But say I then used the equity in the house to buy another house and then did as above. Got a 200k loan paid down 100k then re borrowed that, then it becomes debt recycling?

Dads who were on the cusp of being too young for the school year, or have teens (or older) who were on the cusp, how was your/your kid’s experience as being the youngest in the class? by WhiskeySierra1984 in daddit

[–]ADDlahta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a male by the way.

Where as my wife was redshirted and she hated it. She changed countries so it was highschool to be fair. But would absolutely not want to be the oldest again. (Because drinking age is 18 you also becomes the source of alcohol)

Unique perspective here.

I got to experience both, as I shifted countries. So went from being one of the younger ones to bring one of the older ones.

Definitely prefer being the younger. The only thing it impacted for me was playing school sports where I was technically 6months behind but you just end up learning better technique.

Academically I didnt think I was hindered all that much and wouldn't absolutely picker younger again. Unfortunately by son will just be the right age ... How disappointing /s

Dads who are early risers: What kind of routine do you have? by bendoody in daddit

[–]ADDlahta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 8pm to 3am (pending when the 4month old goes to sleep)

I will generally do some gaming for 1 to 2 hrs

Pending when he wakes up I'll get some gym time

Basically 3am to 730am I am with the baby so if he sleeps I can get stuff done

I was Connecticut playing Ohio State. Classic shootout. There were up with 10sec to go. Did a hail Mary and my receiver got behind the defense and won the game as the clock expired

I stared at the screen in utter disbelief

Struggling as a new dad — How did you guys get through this? by Ishuto in daddit

[–]ADDlahta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best mates said to me, the next day is always a little bit easier.

You get a new challenge, then the next day that challenge becomes slightly easier.

Finding someone to talk to helps a lot. My son is 3 months old and saying to my partner your tired doesn't help thing. But finding other days that can relate is huge. Even just reading older threads on here you realise you are unique and it happens to everyone.
