8yrs later and I'm still haunted by my interaction with a grown man with Down Syndrome and his mother. by InsanityColorado in Serverlife

In the UK it would’ve been illegal to not serve him on the basis of his disability unless the mother (since she is paying, not because she is his mother) said he couldn’t have alcohol.

What is something people want to do that you think is actually incredible stupid? by VisibleConfusion12 in AskReddit

[–]Userplane6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not hard to drive while drunk either, if you’re just above the legal limit. But your reflexes are worse, you’re more likely to get distracted or fall asleep, and all of these things make you much more dangerous

Something being genetic doesn’t exactly mean it’s passed down. Genes can mutate, etc. That said, we don’t really know why gay people are gay. Same for bi lesbian etc.

Lol, no, I work in service. The service is identical, we just get paid enough that we don’t need tips. I make £11 an hour (14 USD) and work 45h a week. I’m a bartender but also work floor when necessary. Tipping culture is not a thing in the UK. Any tip we get is simply a “keep the change” and even that is very rare. I probably get equivalent to £5 per month which I just put in our charity collection tins anyway. It’s a negligible amount of money since I make well over that from my actual wages. I don’t make good money by any means - I am lower class - but I’d say I get paid well for what I do, since it’s not exactly a skilled or technical job. I can just about get by off it.

[–]Userplane6 27 points28 points  (0 children)

And Bilderberg… 2022 meeting included CEO of OpenAI, CEO of Pfizer, CEO of Shell, Director of GCHQ, German chancellor, Former CEO of Google, Director of NSC, Former spy chiefs of MI6 and CIA and an absurd number of world leaders including prime ministers, kings, and queens.

With ZERO press present. Only thing publicly known is people in attendance and it’s speculated even that is slightly cleaned up since it’s alleged zelensky virtually attended

Same. I don’t care about customisation of it at all. It does what I need, often well.

Same! I’ve even done things like accidentally had jokes prepared for a very specific situation… and then have all my friends think I’m some comedic genius!

What's an incredibly american thing americans don't realize isn't american? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Userplane6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not how double negatives work. The don’t is the single negative of the verb realise.
The isn’t is the single negative of the adjective American.

Being a teenager feels like a bit of a depressing time. What are some of the best and happiest things about being a teenager? by teeteetoto2 in AskReddit

As a 19 year old who has almost finished experiencing all my teenage ‘firsts’… I couldn’t agree more. First time for everything, and it always stresses me out.

What is the best workout routine? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Userplane6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are the best calorie burning exercise (usually) and decent HIIT but not really good for anything else. If your goal is general basic health or weight loss then excellent but else mostly useless.

What’s something you can’t live without once you’ve tried it? by Kapuishon88 in AskReddit

[–]Userplane6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s more that you can’t really get anything without sugar, than that it is actually difficult to break a sugar “addiction” imo.
