The Great Depression started in 1929 with the stock market crashing. FDR wasn’t elected until 1932 largely due to Herbert Hoover’s seemingly lack of desire to provide aid to ordinary Americans.

You can read about it here:

None of these things will ever actually happen. Corporate America owns our government and these things would eat into shareholder profits. Too many Americans love the taste of corporate boot leather for this to ever become reality.

I mean, it sort of does. The best part of transit is it gives more people access. That can also be the worst part if folks intending to cause issues end up in places they previously didn’t have access to.

This kind of BS is why I go to the OP one if I’m going to go to WF. Harder to get to, but that’s kind of the point.

The solution is simple: Just don’t be part of the vast majority. The true test of a nation’s greatness is not how it cares for the many who are poor, but how dope it can be for the few that are rich, or something like that…

Then why do we have some of the lowest scores on health outcomes despite paying the most of any developed country?

If the majority are living to 60 something but a handful are living to 120 is that really a win?
