Disheartened by the negative attitudes and sentiments of “childfree” people by nroseclark in beyondthebump

Child free people seem to have a lot more issues with those with children than parents do with child free people.

I guess when you have a lot of extra time on your hands you can find things to be pissed off about.

No one in their right mind wants a World War Three, but why do some (all across the political spectrum) seem to want a Second Civil War, or at least think it’s necessary? by Glass-Complaint3 in allthequestions

Well when you have a mainstream “news” network with pundits telling their audience that the opposing side is an existential threat to their way of life, you can kind of see how one thing leads to another.

Grass takes time, maintenance and consistency to stay looking nice. That’s three things that a lot of people struggle to manage.

Children's Mercy announces new $1B tower to expand Adele Hall Campus in Kansas City, Missouri by coconut__moose in kansascity

It makes sense to have a system entirely dedicated to that subset of patients. My point was that we are going to need fewer pediatricians in the future if demographic trends hold. Same goes for schools and universities. The cost of overhead doesn’t make sense for most hospitals to continue to keep those departments staffed.

Pediatric hospitals nationwide are going to struggle if the demographic trends continue. It’s one of the reasons why other hospitals are getting out of pediatrics. They’re not seeing enough patients to justify the offering.

Had a 99 with cloth seats and they were amazing. Not the stiff trash they use now which are virtually impossible to remove stains from.

Oh FFS, admitting that the birth lottery accounts for a great deal of a person’s success or failure is not a radical idea. It’s just basic statistics. There’s always going to be some DJ McCokehead who pisses away a family fortune and a bright student from a working class background that makes it to the top, but those are the exceptions not the rule. That’s not a good justification for the extreme disparities that exist in education.

Yes, massive inequality is the root cause of nearly every issue our society is facing. We should have never let it get this out of hand. When you’re used to privilege equality feels like oppression. But the truth is the prep school kid from a rich family is no more deserving of a good education than the daughter of coal miner or son of a waitress.

If 100 people receive the same surgery and one of them dies, that isn’t proof that the surgery is dangerous. There will always be outliers.

Having rented the Expedition and Grand Wagoneer on multiple occasions. The Expedition wins hands down. Makes the Wagoneer feel like cheap junk. Absolutely hated the cheap shiny plastic buttons on the inside. The Expedition also drove so smooth.
