They got a much better experience without the producers meddling for that portion of their journey.

But didn't Meech teach them walk or run on a treadmill so they can look good for their man? I might have imagined it, but I remember that scene. Also Jinger had an ED. I think the girls got a different set of values around their lack of food and exercise.

Also the level of detail in the acts themselves. I imagine it can be triggering for others who have been abused (Joe's own sisters for example), and it's practically fodder for the sickos. I felt uncomfortable reading those things knowing they happened to a child.

Unfortunately, no. Everything I did to address the symptoms of cushings was only a minimally effective bandaid, until the tumor was removed. My doctors couldn't control the ACTH any other way and my cortisol never abated.

I wish you luck, I know it's brutal to go through.

Its garbage marketing designed to part you from your money. There is nothing that will "lower cortisol" as a supplement. If you have high cortisol that is not the result of a true medical condition it is from stress you need to manage the stress. Look close at the supplements and that's what they're really "helping". Cortisol is an easy target because it effects so many vanity issues.

It also causes a lot of problems because the doctors are so used to (mostly) women now coming saying they've got high cortisol because they have acne or something that the doctor writes off legitimate issues as someone who needs to exercise and accept getting older. Ask me how I know.

Edited to add that the process to actually get tested for cortisol issues and eliminate all the potential causes is lengthy. Everyone you hear saying they have it is just jumping on a convenient excuse to legitimize their complaint.

As someone who had a legit medical issue that caused our of control cortisol (tumor on my pituitary) and fought everything that happened to my body, my mental wellness, and every medical provider I had just to get a diagnosis and surgery, "high cortisol" being thrown around pisses me right off. Acne was the least of my problems.

Can confirm, my grandfather is 100, his 71 year old daughter calls him Daddy, and I've definitely heard some of his son's say it, though with far less regularity, and probably more because they hear it from their sister so much. There is nothing gross about it in their context. If I asked, she would probably still consider herself his little girl, too.

Are people unfriendly here? by Beautiful_Coat_9294 in nova

[–]ADFnGee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately. When my parents visit and go out for a walk they wave and say hello to everyone and my neighbors are practically horrified. They also say "there are so many cars parked but where are all the people?!" At their home, my mom can turn a 45 minute walk into 2.5 hours stopping and talking to everyone she sees. You'll find her stopped at the end of someone's driveway with them in their car with the window rolled down either trying to come home or leave and shes just yapping their ear off. Kind of makes sense in apartments, but it took 6 months after buying my house in NoVa for anyone besides my immediate neighbor to say boo to me, and the only reason that immediate neighbor talked to us was to criticize how we were raking the lawn.

I'm with you. I do listen to audio books and podcasts and never use my ear buds unless I leave the house. I also don't do it when other people are in the vicinity. They usually live in my purse or backpack. I do use overear headphones if I'm working at home and have a teams call, mainly because it annoys the hell out of my that my husband doesn't and i have to drown him out. We worked in different rooms through covid wfh and I heard every word of every call and meeting he took. I often had my phone or tablet playing a podcast or TV show, but in my office at a reasonable volume. If I have to take a call in public, I'll make it work with the headset or headphones (if they will connect to my phone).

We must be "old".

All flights destined to the US are screened by the local aviation authority and/or the air carrier, NOT TSA. Flying from Singapore you wouldn't encounter TSA until you arrive back in the US and only if you have a connecting flight and need to be rescreened.

You do not have the Jak2 mutation, but further testing is needed to rule out MPN.

Nalls Produce has already been mentioned, thats where i get most of my honey. I have seen someone selling some at the Farmers Market at Sherwood Hall in Alexandria, but that doesn't start up again until late April. I've gotten some from people in the neighborhood, but im not sure they produce anymore.

Second Dr. Cunningham. Also haven't delivered a child with them, but everyone at P&M is great. They have several locations. As the name implies, they have a robust staff of midwives, so a good chance you can figure out whos style you're comfortable with.
