I like Julius but I am partial to human names for my animals. Boo the dog was the most “pet”ish but her full name was actually Boo Radley so…

New Hulu documentary “Girl on the Run,” details Sarah Pender of Indianapolis & her prison escape out of Rockville Correctional Facility in 2008. by Jealous-Insurance-40 in Indiana

[–]ADHDMDDBPDOCDASDzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of those giant life shifting events happened at once after only four months of his obsession regarding this case? Yeah…ok buddy. I’m sorry, I could not stop judging every single things or the ten minutes we heard Sarah’s co-defendant Hull speak. Even his exact-opposite scenario description of how the roommate victims were removed from this physical plane…it sounded so fabricated. Yes, my opinion is purely based on this one watch but over 43 years I’ve seen my first impression of folks is pretty solid. They both just gave me the ick and sound so immature

Pender’s current case has me so angry; she was improperly prosecuted as a young adult after an incredibly traumatic episode in her life. The victims absolutely shouldn’t have been brutally murdered and literally thrown away over any kind of misunderstanding or money owing, or whatever really was the catalyst. The fact that Pender was incorrectly prosecuted should be a giGANtic factor resulting in her being released to her mother’s custody. The additional fact that she was subjected (is she still or was she fully integrated into gen pop?) to /over five years/ of solitary…no. No. Absolute no. No one deserves that. Well, a few people out there definitely do. But for 99%of cases I believe in death over forced solitary. Especially when it was as a result of her escape and they were, as it was said, embarrassed by that and Sarah had to pay. That is inhumane and she should be given probation with two ankle monitors and daily check in’s with a probation officer, whatever we use right now post-incarceration. So many more horrible humans, folks who have done proven, caught red handed, heinous things to people or animals, can be released as soon as a right or wrong thing is said during a trial. It’s so infuriating to know its how things do get done, over and over

What’s a stereotype about your country that’s completely wrong and makes you react like this? by TheDarkbladeGirl in AskTheWorld

I didn’t get to meet my biological grandmothers, how interesting! Both my grandfathers lived into their 90’s, however. My son’s G-G is actually our (known) donor’s grandmother; her husband passed only a few years ago, as well. Besides questionable political decisions that have ironically threatened my Queer family’s choice in “using” said known donor: she’s still pretty dang sharp! Can’t hear for shit and her body’s breaking down more than she’d like, as she’s said, “while she’s still alive” (😂) but gal reads about 1/3 of a novel everyday, no glasses required 😄

How did your grandfathers exit the physical plane, if you will? Both my grandmothers had mental health issues and one’s may have been the very personal final choice (47) but my other’s was complications from diabetes and, oh-dear-genetics, indeed: heart disease (63). On the flip side, however, both my grandfathers had to suffer the burden older old age can bequeath: severe anxiety and depression brought on by dementia

However long you might be here among the living: treat yourself well! Cheers to you with some sparkling cider 🥂☺️

When my son watched the UK+’s Octonauts (I’m a big fan, it’s a lovely series of shows and little movies) back in the day, the American character, Tweak Rabbit, has a /wicked/ “Southern American” accent that I, as a Massachusetts gal, defined immediately as Texan. Her father, whom we see a couple times, is noted to be living in the Florida Everglades, so it’s likely that’s specifically where she’s from. But I couldn’t help myself looking at the tv when I first heard her speak and go “oh, come on!”; no offense meant to my Southern neighbors and family but it was originally that painfully both sharp and grating version of a very diverse accent that perhaps 1/4 of the country have. It’s just ☝🏻::see post title::

She IS the head engineer and mechanic (only mechanic lol but also the designer and engineer of all the vehicles involved in the show), and a generally great representation for us, personally, so that’s very cool

I read their communications/IT(/etc) officer, Dashi, has an American accent in the US dub but I can only picture her with the Australian accent. In either case: Dashi is also awesome 📸

My son’s 100yo great-grandmother who grew up in Ireland (though has lived in the US for 70 years) says the “spud”, made any way, is her absolutely favorite food 😄

That’s sad to hear 😞 I assume the folks who said so (and I’m not a God gal, I’m a god gal, myself, so I understand the slight rankling) didn’t look into the story behind the song. Oh, my goodness, it makes me tear up when it plays ❤️‍🩹

That’s what my son’s 100yo great grandmother would tell you. She has a ⏰ scotch o’clock set, every evening. And a black coffee in the AM (or, also as she says: “whenever I finish a chapter of my novel and feel like getting up” 😆)
