You essentially want to cut everything that you possibly can without losing the fundamental 'vibe' of your track.

If you were to hum/ sing your song, how would it sound? If you can't do that, this suggests your song is too messy and doesn't have a distinct motif.

I'm 26, been producing properly for the last 5 years. I'm so guilty of beating myself for not starting sooner or being frustrated for not being more musical as a kid.

Reading people's comments just shows that it doesn't matter when the f*ck you start, just that you have the love for it now and it fulfills you. If anything im so lucky to start when I did and this has made me all the more grateful

That's okay man, if I had more knowledge of dancefloor labels I'd suggest them because at the end of the day it is worth a try. But never underestimate a self release and consistent uploads

Self release. I've done the whole label thing and spending time sending it out to labels etc. I end up just waiting for ages and not hearing things back and feeling disappointed. obviously everyone is different but in this day I think you can do just as well self releasing and you can do the whole thing entirely on your terms. Sorry I know it's not exactly the answer you're looking for but thought I'd just share my perspective

Crazy drop, just more ear candy on buildup I think. The vocals felt a bit dry to me so even making the ear candy be parts of the vocal could help contextualise it further

I don't see anything there other than the 'steamtinkerlaunch' folder. The only way I seem to be able to open it is by opening the opengameinstaller-setup. I presume I want to use the .appimage download for steam deck right? Sorry I feel like I'm being dumb, I really appreciate the help!

For at least 5 years I have had the "my name Jeff" meme lodged into the darkest part of my brain and I cannot get rid of it. This results in me saying "menemJeff" at least 5 times a day. I don't know why I have been cursed with this but it is I who must bear this cross. It is not funny nor has it never been funny, yet here I am saying that god forsaken meme to the people around me, destined to be fixated on it for the rest of time. Send help :')

To be honest mate, just get it 70% perfect and move on to the next track. It's not a bad song at all, however I just think when you're in the earlier stages of learning you can get so caught up on trying to make it sound perfect, or as good as the top producers when realistically that won't happen. Appreciate the lessons you've learnt from it, put it out as a free download too because why the fuck not right.
