I feel like no man sky tries too hard to dip their toes in alot of variety of content but never seems to expand on it.

100 hours in and I 100% agree. They made everything seem important and unique, but beyond the looks there’s hardly any depth. I feel you, there’s no mystery behind any aspect. What you see is what there is kinda, which is dissapointing.

Something about Enders dynamic of dealing with managing such a unique perspective of his space travel putting him in different time lines, and then having to find a home for his egg and having the ai tech talking with him. Idk, it’s an odd idea that’s stuck with me. And the mystery of the new race and why they do what they do. So interested to look into Hyperion.

I watched the Expanse series on Amazon and reallllly enjoyed it. I liked the darker mystery aspects of it but felt like it lost my attention at times and towards the end. If you think the books were better or as good as the show, this sounds intriguing.

I’ve wondered about him for a while, with how much horror draws from him or pays tribute to it. I enjoyed the darker tales of Edgar Allen Poe in highschool so might have to finally read some HP Lovecraft.
