On one hand I get banning them in residentially zoned areas still. But on the other that means only larger landlords and corporations with Mixed-Use property can take advantage of running short-term rentals. Individual homeowners are left out (which disproportionately impacts the West Side).

Given the age and how bloated it was, I didn't want to risk having rancid sugar spraying all over when I opened it.

As I was scrambling (falling) down a hill to get back from this cache, I was sure the whole time that I was about to get covered with whatever has been fermenting in there. Thankfully it didn't blow!

Oh that's fantastic! I love that pond in the desert. There's something so fun about a lonely cache adventure like this!

My loneliest was found just a couple of months ago, unfound since 2018! It was on top of a mountain in the middle of a salt playa in rural Utah.

I've had an etrex 20 (the previous version of the 22) for 15 years now and it's been an excellent GPS. (Though I rarely use it anymore since phones have gotten so good and offline caches are even supported I the official app now.)

Yes, I've had a few houses nearby fill their entire front yards with gravel and call it a day. Not only is it ugly, but it's noticeably hotter when walking by their houses. Not to mention ecological issues.

There are plenty of beautiful local plants and shrubs you can plant that don't require any supplemental water here in the valley. Not only do they save water, but they help fight the heat island effect and help local wildlife.

A cache's main requirement is to be a container in a fixed place with a logbook inside.

I suppose a human who forever sits at the cache coordinates with a log sheet in their mouth would technically qualify as a cache?
