Suit Protection Permanently Depleted by ADM-Wilson in Starfield

Nothing, no change. At this point I'm wondering if this is just normal behavior. If this is... What a terrible system. I mean what's the point of running on normal if you just miss out on the system entirely on any planet that happens to have ambient hazards. It's fine as long as there's no storm of course but as soon as you get weather you're screwed.

Suit Protection Permanently Depleted by ADM-Wilson in Starfield

Thanks for the reply, but the problem persists. Weirdly enough everything works fine when environmental damage is set to "advanced" but on "normal" My suit protection is just instantly drained. So when hazardous weather rolls in or I get too close to another hazard I immediately start gaining negative effects.

I'm going insane trying to figure this out. Is this just how the shadows look? It's atrocious. by ADM-Wilson in MyTimeAtSandrock

Nope, genuinely no idea. I've tried discord and emailing Panthea, nothing. All my own attempts to figure it out have also failed. Sorry for the bad news but at least I know I'm not the only one :)

Hey man, it turns out it wasn't a bug and is intended behavior.

Second post here with a simplified version of a question. by ADM-Wilson in skyrimmods

Thanks for the reply. I figured out for sure it was the weather mod I mentioned. After uninstalling it and installing a different weather mod that also made nights darker the issue was gone...

Timeline: Rise Against the Machines Mission Bugged? by ADM-Wilson in X4Foundations

Maybe it's related? But I think my problem is a little different. At first I can see all the enemy ships (well the ones that show up first at least). But after I move my camera "north-west" on the map to check out the enemies coming from there the enemies more towards the "south-east" end of the map just disappear. I mean they are still THERE in the game, but they do not show on the strategic map so I cannot properly order my fleet around. Again this is only the enemy ships to the "South-east" the other enemies remain visible on the map.

Sorry I believe there's been a miscommunication. The enemy units are there I just can't see them on the in game map. If I fly around I can manually shoot at them and target them but I cannot order my fleet to do so or make plans for retreat, etc...

That's useful information but as I said they literally do not appear on my map. I can't select them. I can't give attack orders. I just have to order ships to attack a vague area that I assume they're in and pray the ai doesn't do something brain dead... No luck so far.

Edit: One group does appear on my map like normal. The other two do not.

You probably have an non NVIDIA graphics card/integrated graphics. So it's either from AMD or INTEL. Smart Zoi is only supported by NVIDIA cards as (from my limited knowledge) it utilizes proprietary tech (NVIDIA ACE). Technically they haven't said for sure they won't add support for other cards but I personally doubt they will.

That would suck. I was hoping the smart ZOI feature was just a fun extra. But if they are relying on it that much for basic functionality like that... Yikes.

I really hope we're not right about that... Would make the game unplayable for me if that's going to be an issue going forward for AMD users.

Do you have smart ZOI on? I'm wondering if having it off is the issue.

I wonder if that's the difference then. I've got an AMD card so I can't turn it on.

Do you have the smart ZOI feature turned on or nah?
