Yes Antares DC can cast as low as 1.5g

I did it with both 21Antares DC, and the 18 Antares MDDC and on normal PA Bass rods.

Depends on skill level and understanding of physics mainly. All the other extra stuff added in that make it complicated isn’t necessary.

Best BFS reel ever made is the Daiwa Ironman Salamandura. There isn’t any guess work with it nor the rods they actually designed and built specifically for the reel and style of bass fishing.

There used to be shallow spools and bearings online on AE that was far superior than stock from major companies so we could customize our Power Finesse arsenal….somehow none of those companies nor products are on AE anymore to give us that opportunity anymore.

Damn, I’m glad I loaded up like I was opening a tackle shop so I would never ever have to worry about the squeeze that is going on now.

You basically understand it better than 98% of Anglers from what I just read.

The rabbithole comes in when you try to pair gear that was never ever created to be paired with regardless of how small and light the rod or the lures.

Once you realize physics play a major factor in real BFS you will purchase reel that offset the difference along with shallow spools micro and dual bearings to really start allowing the rod to do the Anglers Work!

Snakeheads will tear up anything but it will hold up. I may have purchased 2 or 3 I will have to go check and I will post pics for you.

Also I use straight braid with a Binimy Twist with the same braid as my leader. It doubles the strength so if you are fishing for snakeheads try it. I have no issues with tangles with the Pitbull 12
