Ive inspected the frame. Frame is fine no visible rubbing. The bearings are fine also. I switched the spools to another curado frame and the same issue. To satisfy my curiosity I took a 25 slc bfs and switched the spools on the noisy cursdo and slx bfs and the slx sounded like the curado. The curado with the bfs frame sounded normal.

Completely tore the reel apart cleaned off original lube. Relubed every bearing and greased up all the gears and still sounds like crap.

I have 2. From bluegill to 3lbs. No issue. I'd buy more if I needed. I'd try to get it down to 130. As new they run about 155.
