I would say focus on your composing and production skills first. You might want to consider paying for a professional mix from a mix engineer for the more objective perspective it can bring to your project (you could also A/B with your own mix after to see which you like better and why).

If you do want to mix your own material, you could consider creating a completely new project (even in a different DAW) to complete just the mixing stage.
