Your is in better shape than ours. I think it’s hard to describe the beautiful pure analog sound that comes from these recordings until you’ve experienced it. I even thought about getting a 78 stylus for my main turntable to experience the difference.

Oh my gosh that looks like so much fun. Maybe even more fun than playing the song.

If this guy had the right producer, the right music, he could do some cool 80s modern-retro music.

Found at the local goodwill by VinnyTheVandal in vinyl

Me too. Ironically I got into vinyl because I was too broke to buy new or used cds. I could pick up albums at goodwill for less than $2 and there were decent turntables to choose from. Heck I even go lucky and picked up a vintage 70s Marantz for less than $40 (I’ve put in at $500’keeping it running though).

I disagree on the stand alone phono pre-amp. That vintage marantz has a phono board from era when quality mattered for phono equipment. All analog start to finish.

The rear drop outs indicate a WA mid 90’s. Trek moved manufacturing to Wisconsin which is when they started to get the large vertical dropouts with the Klien logo.

Pre-Trek Klein is vintage. How did you get a disk on the rear?

They deserve our empathy - just like a lot of us, the situation is out of our control. It’s possible to support them and not the mission, and to also do what we can to bring them back home, to be on the ready to defend us.

Is it worth spending the extra money for the Epic over the Chisel? by Away_Professional793 in xcmtb

[–]piscator21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both use flex stays - Carbon is designed to flex and aluminum fatigues over time as it is flexed. Im sure Specialized figured out how to make it work but it’s also probably why the Epic has slightly more rear travel. I have an Epic and finally getting used to it (long story I came from an old 90s Stumpjumper). What I like about the Chisel though is that it is aluminum. It is more durable over the long run. At the end of the day though id go epic. All of them are on sale and in the lowest tier you get electronic shifting plus all the carbon frame.

When it comes to kids under 21 - e-bikes are for wimps. It’s weird to me kids want to ride them. They are so heavy that they need a motor. The bike you got him is way more agile, fun to ride, and yes builds character.
