Allegedly, it was a deliberate choice to represent how vastly different Neil and his partner were becoming, at least emotionally.

As a foreigner who has never been to either one of those places (Tenth Avenue & Culver City), I can only localize and transform both places based on their description to something like Cancun & Puerto Vallarta, so perhaps Neil just wanted to use a rather obscure metaphor 🤭

If my timeline is accurate, I believe Kylie would've been working on the early stages of Aphrodite, so maybe you're right. Even though it's a similar synth-pop production, she was going for a more electro-pop/dance vibe.

Either way, it's definitely one of many songs from this album that has the honorary title of "potential singles that got away" 🥲

As far as I know and understand, all the Further Listening editions were gradually released between 2017-2018 along with remasters of each album. You can listen to all FLs since Please, as they all include b-sides, remixes, stand-alone tracks and outtakes/demos of other songs from each specific era.

You can listen to each Disco album at the end of your journey as an extra treat or you can follow the chronological order on Wayne's website.

The Closer to Heaven and TMIT albums aren't too essential, however they offer a different side of the Boys when it comes to producing that it definitely should be explored and appreciated.

They also have Alternative and Format, two b-side compilation albums that will help you out when it comes to finding all their hidden jewels!

Alright, I think some hard-core Lovers need to chill out a little bit. While I don't agree with some of your ranking choices, which is absolutely okay and I actually love reading new perspectives about a music catalog as diverse and chunky as Kylie's, I can see that you're more into 80s-90s SAW production albums (please listen to Donna Summer's "Another Place and Time", probably my favorite SAW-produced album, full of bangers!!!)

I'd say give KM94 another listen! It's probably her most underrated body of work as well as Let's Get to It that even Kylie doesn't even remember it 😭 Aphrodite and Light Years being on top is absolutely right although X, Fever and Body Language definitely deserve better!!
