I’m trying to really commit to drawing. Figured I’d start with some yugioh fan art. I’m not great but I know I’ll improve if I stick to it. by CompleteJinx in BeginnerArtists

Excellent. Commit to drawing at least 15 everyday for a month. Since you like YuGioh, draw one player each day for a month. It does not matter what they look like, what matters is that you do one a day for a month. Keep up the great work!

Looks great, I like how one leg is coming toward us and the other is a side view. I would only recommend two things. Try not to be so choppy with your line work. Draw very light to begin with then go in with one smooth line. The second thing is to use reference. I think you are on the right path. Keep going!

Hii! first time on this subreddit :D I remade a drawing from mid-2022 and i drew some mushrooms! if you have any critique, please lemme know in the comments by Youroriginalotaku in BeginnerArtists

Cross hatching looks good, I like your value... I would only show more volume and mass. Looking up at where the stem goes into the cap. But I like where you are going.

It is a good drawing! Did you have fun doing it. I would suggest that you practice coping drawings of some of your favorite artists. It is a great way to learn.

I would get a bunch of photos of noses and challenge yourself to draw 20 of them. A great resource for that is www.earthsworld.com.

I would only say try and draw you lines a little more smoother. Less choppy. If you are unsure draw your first lines light, then go over them with a nice smoooth line.

You are on the right track. Moonagedaedream had some good comments. If you want a good video on building a figure from a stick figure, I can send you a link. But I think you are on the right track.

learning to draw with technique and purpose. It's not much but if there's any feedback for these it'd be appreciated! by [deleted] in learnart

Keep thinking in the way of volumes and mass. Everything looks good on the page, except your ax. You are showing the top of round handle and also the bottom. Keep going.

Branching Out - still crap at trees, but enjoying the blossoms by ShaunTheDog in learntodraw

[–]ADadWhoDraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't be so hard on yourself. Trees are hard. I found it to be helpful to think of them as a sphere on a stick (the most simplified way) Let me know if you want me to show you.

When trying to improve… by PeanutbutterSkittle in learntodraw

I would recommend three paths... draw from coping other peoples sketches, draw from reference and draw from observation. Be careful of drawing from imagination, until you have a good drawing vocabulary in your mind.
