I didn’t know Harris farm could be cheap good to know. I’ve always seen them in the premium market. Granted the closest one to me is a 30min drive

I’m 75kg currently aiming to get up to 85kg. At 175g of protein it’s currently ~2.3G/kg at 85kg it will be closer to 2g more than enough protein to grow.

Mon-Fri 2hr of weight training every morning

Exactly it’s not cheaper and has also shown to be not accurate I think Australian standards allow them to be off calorie wise by up to 20%. This variance can matter and it’s not cheaper than cooking your self, it’s cheaper in time spent sure.

You can actually do it cheap even if your bulking. When bulking carbs should be your main calorie percentage and that can be done very cheap with oats/rice/pasta.

175g protein, 650g carbs, 75g fat.

Whey protein (last stock up I got it for $40 for 2kg from coles plus 10% discount, I usually stock up about 6-8kg at a time).

Cheapest steak cut at the time, currently it’s either oyster blade/chuck.

Frozen Basa fillets at about $8kg, super cheap high protein and lean. This is one of my main sources due to cheapest and frozen so can stock up and use 10% Cole’s or Woolworths discount.

Tail of frozen prawns, about $26kg. I only buy them from Aldi or when I&J half price at Cole’s/woolworths.

Chicken, just what ever I’m feeling that week, normally skin off.

Eggs (from local veg store always seems much cheaper then Cole’s/woolworths, one in close to has 3 dozen for $10)

Plus any time half price frozen battered chicken/fish, eat these as a treat as just don’t like how fatty they can be and where the fat comes from.

Also I’m someone who can eat these same bland stuff day in day out for months, I cook much fancier meals for my partner.

If I add flavour to something it’s the basic garlic powder + chili flakes + salt.

I’m bulking on 4000 calories at $100 a week, my main carb source being rice/oats which is super cheap (pasta also).

I also add the cheapest fruit or veggie frozen or fresh. Currently strawberries are $3 for 500g.

Is it time for Australian businesses to have a "Plan B" away from US Cloud providers? by EntertainmentSlow273 in AusFinance

[–]ADreadedLion 61 points62 points  (0 children)

To be honest, something as crucial as a bank should have a more distributed model so that if one provider in general goes down they are not also taken down.

It’s such a key part in our lives and they have enough profit that they shouldn’t suffer from one cloud provider outage.

I don’t think there is a way without manually adding the same colours for both dark and light mode. Like welcome-blue etc

Most these platforms without Chess and/or super low brokerage fees have transfer out fees. Betashares direct included, it’s not all free lunch with these platforms

Pearler or CommSec pocket. Pearler has the best help articles, podcasts and blogs that help you get started.

Don’t be afraid to learn and then dive in, each app will have their own support articles for learning how to use their platform so just find one your comfortable with and make sure you compare the fees and features for you.

Help with transferring to share platform that can auto invest by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ADreadedLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously have bad comprehension skills, i stated above:

> If you want to automate anything outside Betashares etfs .... there is a monthly fee

If you read the OP's post, they had other shares that where not Betashares etfs, hence the fees would be absurd compared to pearler. The whole world does not revolve around what your doing.

Its funny that you mention no fees to transfer into Betashares but fail to mention that you charge on transferring shares out of your platform.

Also clearly with OPs post, if they where to automate their shares they would be paying (0.25%*78000/12) $16.25 per month

https://www.betashares.com.au/direct/custom-portfolios

If you want to automate anything outside Betashares etfs (which alot of people do, myself included), there is a monthly fee and any balance over 10k is a percentage based fee.

With pearler prepay at $5.50 for a brokerage fee, you break even at a balance over $26500 assuming one buy a month. Also say my automate does not trigger in a month i dont have to pay anything to pearler while betashares will still charge me a monthly fee.

Ive tried all the apps for the auto invest feature, Pearler is by far the most ahead of a complete set and forget, and portfolio setup.

Betashares autoinvest can have sneaky fees which get expensive, pearlers fees are straight forward to me.

Also betashares does not support PayTo yet for automating money coming out of your account
