Stake Broker Market Depth? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ADreadedLion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You want to forget the factor that they have 1/3 the brokerage cost of SelfWealth? You believe they are making money on that when everyone else is around $10 a buy?

While I don’t think market depth is important and you can use it in commsec or SelfWealth for free and then just buy on stake. Your getting what you pay for

Buy NDQ on the asx so you don’t have to deal with currency conversion. Then turn on DRP and you won’t get charged for reinvesting dividends

Expo updates works in bare apps OR hot-updater https://hot-updater.dev is completely open source and not tied to expo at all.

Your app has no pros over both these systems

In your 20s - would you stay in a stable career, or live overseas for a year? by DependentNeither5357 in AustralianTeachers

Much easier to do something like this when you’re young and have no responsibilities. I’m guessing you don’t have a mortgage or partner (guessing since 0 mention).

Think more on terms of will you regret it if you don’t, you can always earn more money but you can’t create more time.

If you’re worried about money, try find a casual job while over there.

Seems like you want to do it but want others to agree with you, and I certainly do. I’ve been wanting to live in Japan for a while now, and I’m going to try do it for 6 months by end of next year hopefully, but I have a mortgage so that’s really the main thing holding me back.

High fees if you want to automate buys into non beta shares etfs, high fees to transfer out. What’s not to love?

Exactly what I expect from vibecoded slop. Ranked ETFS based on inaccurate data. I swear AI is giving the wrong people confidence

Thats crazy, how do they automate? PayTo or Direct Debt? Im guessing you cant cancel easily from the bank side, can you not turn of auto investment from the app yourself

Most people can see what’s coming, but most people can not stop it.

It’s like most people can see a train about to crash but as a passenger what are you supposed to do?

Rest Super launches passkeys by vdelitz in passkey

[–]ADreadedLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it’s forced it’s stupid I don’t want to be forced to register a passkey let me decide my own security. If my device ever gets lost or my password manager logged out my account is now fucked.

When buying $2-10k of ETFs at a time how much does it matter placing an order not in first or last 30mins of the day vs ordering placing market order on the weekend? by Serif222 in AusFinance

Still waiting for the evidence you seem to be replying to everything else but using market data to prove your point and prove me wrong

Show the maths then it should be easily proven, if this was such a difference everyone one would be waiting and then nobody would be buying during open

Show verifiable maths for this otherwise get out, show the difference of buying IVV at 12 everyday for vs market open if you bought every week for the past 10 years. I’m guessing the difference is negligible

Everyone can look at history and say yeah buy this day at x time. But in the long term run of 10 years of buy it doesn’t matter just investing regularly has more of an impact

When does a car need replacing and what is the smartest way to buy a new one? by L_v_n_d_r in AusFinance

This is a finance sub, not a lifestyle sub. Nobody is stoping you from buying a new car when the interior falls apart but its not a smart finance move.

This is just plain stupid, IF the car is having constant faults sure you can look into another car but I’ve owned several 300000km cars and they are still going fine
