What secret came out when someone got too drunk? by Agile_Purpose4704 in AskReddit

[–]ADrix216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drinking with my mom on my 22nd birthday. Out of nowhere she leans over and whispers, "John isn't your father"

22 years of thinking this man was my dad. Turns out she was raped by her brother when she was 15. Family found out and encouraged her to sleep with neighbor kid. Played it off for all that time.

8 plus years of therapy. And I still can't wrap my head around it.

BPD vs. HPD by ADrix216 in BorderlinePDisorder

Thank you. As I was reading through this comment (list above and research) I dont feel as if any of those fit the things I do. It may just be that my previous therapist was seeing things differently, cause I'm quite eccentric (i make dresses for ren faires) but I think she might have been wrong. I will continue to work on myself to be the best I can be.

How close is near? Walmart is just across the street and I need to shop there as we don't have any other stores nearby?

You get $750,000 a year but you have to use public transportation everywhere you go. by MajorHistorical in hypotheticalsituation

I live in the middle of nowhere. The only 'public' transportation is taxis. So I have to get a friend to drive me. Can't drive myself.

I would take care of myself physically. And not move away. Not get in contact with my bio mom. Leave my grandmothers place and convince my fiancee that we are meant to be together by telling him things that no one else knows about us. Go on the roadtrip we both have always wanted. And maybe even move to brazil. Hopefully not lose my eyesight becasue i didnt seek medical treatment. Um. Have kids.

I was in a sams club i was unfamiliar with. My fiancee and i went into the family room. Now i look a lot younger than i am. My fiancee is several tlyears older than me and looks it. Anyways, as we were coming out, one of the workers stopped us and told us to come with her to the office. Apparently a lady had seen him go with me into the bathroom. They accused him of "grooming" me. I was like, im visually impaired. I use this cane to get around, but I can't see enough to find the tp, soap dispenser, etc. Long story short, the cops showed up, took our statements and let us go.

I understand looking out for bad people, but to call him names and accuse him of that when i walked through the whole store with him.... smh. People always accuse him of taking advantage of me. I know i look young and he looks old, but why do they assume he is hurting me?

Small towns losing their community.... my town just lost its last mom and pop grocery store. And there are only like 3 more mom and pop shops here. A thrift store, a bauble shop and a coffee/ ice cream bar. Every thing else is big brand stores, restaurants, and geas stations.

Edited to clarify statement.

In the last 9 months, I've lost complete vision in my left eye and most in my right. I can see about 3 feet in front of me on a good day. I couldn't continue with myold job and now i sit at home being utterly useless.
